CAO Eileen's Dream

(2.91)
Inspired by CAO's flavorful Eileen's Dream Cigarillos, this blend begins with a base of quality Virginia and black cavendish leaf and then infuses the same with a frothed cream that's been laced with superior Irish whiskey and coconut milk, followed by a subtle mixture of hazelnut paste, ground almonds, cocoa and vanilla extracts.

I really like this blend, the smell in the tin led me to believe the actual tobacco would be overpowering while smoking it, but I was pleasantly surprised when it was smooth without any bite. The downside is that the tobacco is completely masked.

You want sweet? You got it! This stuff has a casing unlike any tobacco I've ever tasted. Full, sweet, chocolaty, but minty too. I am reminded of Girl Scouts Thin Mints when I smoke this stuff. The room note is an absolute pleasure and the taste is heavenly. I opened the tin and my first impression was not good. The tin smelled almost sickly sweet and the tobacco was rather sticky and clumped. It will not smoke well right out of the tin, but give it a week or so with the hermetic seal on the lid broken, and the tobacco flavor will shine through the casing very nicely after that. Nice toasty Burley flavor with LOADS of everyone's favorite sweet treat, Black Cavendish. All I can say about room note and taste is that they are one and the same. Chocolate, mint, Irish Cream, and awesome. That's how it is. This is a delightful smoke that for as much sugar as it has, smokes surprisingly cool, and stays lit most of the time. Pack it loose though or you'll go through a box of kitchen matches like it's your job. This is a sweet, high quality aromatic that can be enjoyed by all. Good to smoke in non smoking company. You'll get maybe one or two complaints and then they'll smell it and forget what they were saying mid-sentence.

First thing i notice when i opened the tin , what a wonderful desert smell ! White chocolaty, creamy smell like a freshly bake vanilla/liquor cake.

It was very moist out but you can expect that from mostly any aromatic out there.(still it burn very nicely , few relight needed) But that a good thing , make you sip it slower to taste all the flavors this aromatic have to offer. When you light it , the first few drags make the room smell like a coffee shop /bakery . Every drag you can detect a different part of the topping but the one that come out the most in my opinion is the irish cream , very pleasant on the tongue . Its a very complex aromatic . Maybe this blend can aged well due to the Virginia/Cigar Leaf component . I smoke an aromatic like 1-2 time a month max , but this one i could easily smoke it once a week with a morning cup of coffee

The aroma is largely vanilla, maybe some whisky or honey. The flavor is similar, and actually like how it is flavored. Definitely white chocolate and Irish creme. I get a sense of graham cracker, and overall it is reminiscent of a s'more - as a whole, other than the graham cracker I can't pick up individual marshmallow and milk chocolate flavors. It is not overly sweet like a dessert vape might be, and this is an excellent aromatic.

I just started smoking pipes and got this in a sampler pack from pipes and cigars. I've tried about a dozen different tobaccos and this is a good go to that I know I'll enjoy. When I opened it I could really smell the irish cream and chocolate. Seems like a lot of people get concerned by that strong smell, but it smelled great to me.

Smoking it was very pleasent. That's the best I can describe it. Very smooth with a good hint of the cream and chocolate. Nothing overpowering, but you can definitely taste it. No tongue bite at all. Very pleasent room note too. Overall a good smoke for a beginner smoker.

OK, Eileen's Dream has been on my radar for some time as I am a fan of some CAO cigars ("some" is kind of important word here - I absolutely love some of their cigars while I've had other CAO cigars that were nothing but a bitter disappointment). I finally got myself a tin. Well, what can I say. The aroma is not at all as overwhelming as I expected based on some reviews here. It is also utterly pleasant smell, I must add. Eileen's Dream kind of unfolds its flavors, but you don't have to wait for it very long - not like smoking 2/3 of the pipe before it kicks in. There is a definite tobacco flavor underneath the cocoa taste explosion. Tobacco smoked nice and cold and got me to the bottom of the bowl without the need of relighting. I like that. To me, I can see Eileen's Dream in a very regular rotation as it is just relaxing and overall pleasant experience. This is one CAO that does not dissapoint!

Good flavor, but some lingering after taste

I didn't really like this blend when i first tasted it. but now it has become one of my favorites so i have updated my review from two stars to four. I get many good comments on the room note.

If you are looking for a very tasty aromatic I don’t think this could possibly disappoint. It is not a sticky gloopy mess like so many heavily flavored aros seem to be.

Tin note is amazing. Not sure about the room note but I imagine it would be pretty darn good.

First bowl of this I was kind of underwhelmed. What flavor there was was good but wasn’t much there. Then I slowed way down on my cadence…Upon reflection this blend is just phenomenal. Now, it might have been the cob lending a little bit of sweetness but when sipped barely above what it takes to keep things lit there is a ton of flavor here.

Smooth, creamy caramel goodness, hazelnut galore. And so sweet!!!!

Obviously will ghost a pipe (I found myself sniffing the pipe I have been smoking this in it smelt so good).

This has earned a permanent place on my shelf. If it weren’t for curiosity I don’t think I would bother ever trying another aromatic.

Go slow and this blend is an absolute winner.

After hearing a Youtuber I respect very much recommend this blend, I wasn’t hesitant to buy a tin of Eileen’s Dream. The tin itself is exquisite. I love the art and the color scheme. Inside, there are a few bits of twig, but not enough to discourage me from re-purchasing. Here’s my impressions after enjoying the whole tin…

Opening the tin leads to a great aroma of chocolate and vanilla. I wouldn’t go so far as to say truffles. The Irish Cream is there, as well as hazelnut, but neither is overwhelming. I may be alone here, but I also detected a very faint spiciness, which also came through in the smoke; but more on that later.

The moisture from the tin is slightly damp, but not far off of perfect. Smoking directly from the tin turned out just fine, but the blend definitely improved with a little drying time. The blend packs well. Inside the pipe before I touched a flame to it, I’ll be darned if I didn’t get an overwhelming taste of fig newton cookies. This was out of an unsmoked churchwarden, but your mileage may vary.

The blend lights well, and scores 10/10 for holding a flame. Throughout the entire tin, I only had to relight a bowl once or twice after my primary light. Once lit, the chocolate and Irish cream really come through. The tobacco is sweet, but not overly. Imagine taking dark, bittersweet chocolate and mixing it with a light, unsweet Irish cream. That’s what you’re purchasing in this blend. The tobacco however isn’t so heavily cased that that it kills the tobacco flavor. There’s still a nice Cavendish in there, and it the flavors all complement one another. I also get a slight spiciness in the blend; just enough to let you know it’s there by tickling the throat.

This blend is not overly complex, but is certainly not one dimensional. I wouldn’t recommend if for an all-day smoke. You really have to sip on it gently, or it will bite with a vengeance. All in all, I highly recommend this blend. It will do well in an aromatic smoker’s rotation, or an English smoker looking for a small treat every now and then.

Very enjoyable, heavily cased/flavored aromatic. I wouldn't say it was goopy but it was pretty close, which isn't to say it wasn't excellent. I was a bit skeptical when I bought it because I didn't have a lot of confidence in the CAO brand but it is a really well-done, smokable sweet tooth mix. My go-to blends are English/Balkans but sometimes I like a nice aromatic. This is a really nice classic Danish. Enjoy!
