CAO Eileen's Dream
(2.91)
Inspired by CAO's flavorful Eileen's Dream Cigarillos, this blend begins with a base of quality Virginia and black cavendish leaf and then infuses the same with a frothed cream that's been laced with superior Irish whiskey and coconut milk, followed by a subtle mixture of hazelnut paste, ground almonds, cocoa and vanilla extracts.

I'm normally a burley and latakia smoker. Occasionally I hunt around for a decent aromatic as a change of pace. Eileen's Dream is the first of the CAO Flavours line I've tried and I must say i was pleasantly surprised. The base of this blend is quality virginia's and cavandish tobacco. I'm not really a fan of cavendish. i find it to be pretty bland but the virginia's are nice and actually add a natural tobacco sweetness and flavor. The casing was also well done and not only makes for a fantastic roomnote of vanilla cream but it also adds some actual flavor to the smoke. The tobacco comes in a nice ribbon cut but needs to have some dry time before smoking. If dried out before smoking it woulnt bite you. Its actually a very pleasant aromatic blend.

This is a quality aromatic made with excellent grade leaf. You can tatse and smell the cigar leaf. Unusual but very nice aroma. I wouldn't want to smoke this every day, but it is deffinately a resident on my rotation shelf. I would rate this in the top 20% of the aromatics I have smoked and in 40 years thats a lot of blends. They also make a blend called Moontrance which is similar and maybe better.

CAO - Eileen's Dream.
Firstly, it's not a crumble cake as currently stated on T.R., it's a ribbon or well broken flake; there are one or two flake pieces. It contains a greater proportion of black Cavendish in comparison to the others. The aroma from the tin's a strong aromatic one and the moisture's good.
I quite like the smoke. I get mostly a sweeter/dessert-like aromatic flavour: Irish Mist, chocolate, vanilla, and cream. The coconut and hazelnut leave it until the last quarter to join in. The cigar leaf stops this from becoming the usual creamy, sweet aromatic. It gives the smoke a dryness, preventing the normal aromatic gloopiness appearing. Unless this is sipped slowly it can burn a little warm.
Nicotine: mild to medium. Room-note: very pleasant.

Trying this after a few years ago, and being a mostly non-aromatic smoker, this turned out to be pretty good. It wasn't overly cased as others can be. It almost had a hazelnut taste that I really enjoyed.
It was a mild blend, not quite mellow. It wasn't too outside of the box, but it was a tin I could easily finish.

It is worth noting that I find little to enjoy in aromatics. I've tried many recommendations and fan favorites but most disappoint in the flavor department. I don't find this to be the case for EO. I gave it a go after Muttnchop Piper's recommendation on his Youtube channel and I am glad I did.
Unlike most aro's, the blend does not depend on the topping for flavor. The sweetness of the Virginas comes through as well as the cigar leaf addition, which adds complexity. Certainly gives off a "vanilla latte" taste with notes of chocolate and nuts. It is quite a dry smoke for an aro as well.
English/Balkans and Va/Pers are my main blends but EO is a wonderful addition to occasionally smoke for a change of pace or to bring out when guests are over.

Another great Aromatic from CAO. Burns clean and dry as Moontrance does. Packs and lights well, and delivers a great amount of creamy smoke with little effort. I would recommend this much more than your bulk B&M Irish Cream tobaccos.
Small sips let the subtle flavorings come to the forefront. The Irish Cream is very noticable, the Chocolate is there, but more as an undertone.
Pairs well with a coffee and Bailey's.

This tobacco surprised me in several ways, most of them good. When the tin pops open you get white chocolate right up front. The bailies comes out about half way through the bowl. Although you couldn't guess it from the outstanding room note, this is a pretty stout smoke. The flavors are there but definitely not at the loss of the solid smooth tobacco taste. It can burn a little hot, but I didn't get any bite. This would be a good wife pleaser for those of you who smoke English blends that like to occasionally dabble in aromatics. If you are a fan of very mild aro's I'd skip it, if you like a heavy hitter with a smell that gets you invited into the bedroom, instead of thrown out of the house altogether, this is a good one to try.

Because the online tobacco website always seem to have CAO on sale, I just assumed it was a cheap crappy blend, so I was reluctant to ever buy anything by them. Well one day I made the plunge into thriftiness and bought one to complete an order... I was not disappointed.
Contrary to what I would of guessed, Eileen's Dream was not dripping in wet toppings and had a very pleasant chocolate and yes even Irish cream taste. It sort of reminded me of a lighter version of Lane's BCA. It had just the right amount of sweetness and maintained it all the way to the end. It burned like a champ as well.
I tend to write my reviews within the first half of smoking a tin while everything is still fresh inside, but this time I almost made it through the tin before I realized I hadn't jotted my thoughts down. It was that tasty.
This was not over-the-top candy, had a nice rich oily smoke, and little bite. It likely will please most palettes, and even a few non-aromatic fans as well.

I remember the first time I ever had Irish Cream. It was near Christmas and I was about 14, my Nan splashed some in my coffee after dinner without saying a word. It wasn't until I took a sip that I realized it wasn't an ordinary creamer. Now CAO makes some excellent tobacco, and I have smoked some of their cigars so I bought this to try.
The tin is fun. Opening up you see and nice mixture of Cavendish and Virginia. The smell. It's delightful. I can smell the white chocolate, and I do get the Irish Cream. This tobacco comes moist so some dry time will help. However, I've found that one of the best ways to avoid tongue bite on an aromatic is by smoking it in a long-stemmed pipe such as a churchwarden. It does light well, and it keeps a light.
Right after the charing light we get into some nice flavors. The Irish Cream comes up front followed by the chocolate. The aromatic toppings are consistent throughout the bowl. I can taste some of the base tobacco. The Cavendish adds a really nice toasty note coupled with caramelized sweetness. The Virginias are lost a little bit, I think they provide more body than anything else.
The taste. I give this a medium that is edging itself close to a medium-full. The taste is consistent, mouth filling, and lovely. The strength is a fair medium. If I smoke aromatics it's usually in the evening or on a warmer day. The room note on this is amazing and should pull some of your friends in.
