I started the day with GH Bosun.

I'm now smoking some CD Dreams of Kadath. It's sweet and plummy with a hint of peppery taste. I'm already going to put several tins in my next order.

@Ted Have you tried this one? I can include it in your sampler.

Just wanted to let you know. Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding Cigar es have been released. Not cheap. I might get a couple.

Thanks. I will undoubtedly get at least a couple to try. The concept is too unique for me to pass up.

KBV Spaghetti Western, in an IMP meerschaum bent apple. First try of this, so I’ll give my thoughts in a little while.

Outstanding! Delicious and bold. Absolutely masterful blending that enables flavours from each component tobacco to make themselves known without any of them dominating. Sweet and spicy from the Virginia and Oriental, with occasional sourness and smokiness from the Perique and Kentucky. This is a blend I can highly recommend and one that I’m going to thoroughly enjoy in the coming weeks and months. 11 out of 10! 😄

I can’t imagine anyone not enjoying it. I mean, tastes differ, but this is just too damned tasty not to be enjoyed! My advice: buy some! 😄

Ken's B-frog blends are probably going to make the bulk of my next KBV order. 🤠

I’ve been bitten by the KBV bug! Next up: Mycroft, in the Stanwell Night & Day. Another first time smoke, so I’ll share my thoughts later.

Another fantastic blend! Very different to the other KBV blends I’ve tried. The cigar leaf ensures a dense, flavourful smoke, with enough nicotine to satisfy those seeking it. I already have an idea when this will be the perfect choice. On those occasions, it will be perfect.

So, I only have Diogenes Club left to try, from KBV. I’ve no idea why I chose it. It smells rank! Cocoa and vanilla 🤢 Way too sweet for my tastes. I might just end up giving it away. I’ll have to try it first though, obviously 😬

Damn! Too late to edit the above post! I got confused. It’s the Kentucky providing the dense smoke and nicotine. The cigar leaf is in Diogenes Club! THAT must be why I chose it! 😄

@BriarBerg Please can you lengthen the time in which we can edit or delete posts? Currently, we barely have time to read what we’ve posted before the time runs out. It’s really frustrating. (Even more frustrating than the “like” button still not working properly! 😉)

@Lee, I love Cocoa and vanilla! If you don't, you also want to stay away from KBV's "Samsun and Delilah", and "Moriarty (221-B)". I picked both in my first round of KBV blends BECAUSE they have cocoa and vanilla. Yum!

For reference: My palate is still coming from the "home base" of Aromatics! Lots of aromatics in big bowls! Then, complex aged English/Balkan/Oriental as treasured treats in small(er) bowls, and Virginia/VaPer/Va-Ky (as a growing acquired taste) in either small bowls or tall/narrow bowls (depending on how fermented/aged the blend.

I’ll try to keep an open mind when I smoke it for the first time, but the smell will make that difficult! 😄

Started my morning with Firestorm. So good but be warned- the dottle is putrid making a careless wet puff a most unpleasant experience.🤮

It must be KBV day! I just finished my first bowl of "SAMSUN and Delilah" and love it! ...so much that it inspired me to post my first review. The ice is broken, but I'm really only likely to go out of my way to review stuff I REALLY, REALLY like a lot.

I’ve been smoking Watch City 2021 Rougaroux exclusively for the last day. I decided to switch that up, all of the Ken Byron discussion had me pull out KBV Van Gogh. I put some out to dry a little on my usual drying paper. Got ready to load my pipe and bumped the paper when I went to grab it, the tobacco went flying. So I got out more, went through the process again, didn’t dump any, but I didn’t realize I hadn’t emptied the pipe I was going to use from the last time I smoked it. A very uncommon occurrence for me. I had already packed some of the Van Gogh in it, so that got thrown away.

After that I decided to pick a different pipe and continue with the WC Rougaroux in a different pipe, which I’m smoking right now.

Pesse Canoe Latakia flake 40. Folded half a flake and screwed into a squat bulldog. Dense and bold smoke, but a bit difficult to catch the flame.

That’s unfortunate. I can’t help but feel empathy due to my recent broken pipe incident, but I kind of expect a clay pipe to break easily, not so with yours.

Jell crazy glue (super glue) is basically acrylic. If it’s an acrylic stem, might be worth a shot… if you’re the adventurous type.

I accidentally broke a Savinelli 623 pipe stem in 1989 and repaired it with Locktite Superglue. It worked till 2019, when Savinelli changed the stem for one new.

Ha, ha! ...well ...remember the scene in "Back to the Future" where Marty discovers the Amp Doc made for him, and just HAS TO TRY IT? He knows better, but just can't help himself. ...yeah ...that 🤪 😳 🤯 🙃 Lat bomb experiment super-sized and turned up to 11. A day later, I still taste it. 😎

As far as the RUSTICA goes, a different analogy applies. I think that having a full bowl, for my current vitamin-N tolerance, was Like having my own pipe-sized roller-coaster. I managed to stay on my feet when I got off, but can't handle two rides back to back.

Double dog dare ya! Ha, ha!

Last time I smoked some similar was a German tobacco made by a tobacconist in Kiel, Germany, Motzek. The blend was Kieler Foerde. 65% of the nicest Latakia you can imagine. But this KBV could be even more strong. 50% Latakia + Rustica Ummm, and which are the rest of components, if there are more?

From the description at kbven.com-

“This is not a blend for everyone. It may even require sacrifice. The Hand is fifty percent triple fermented Latakia. Red and stoved Virginia with Orientals form the lesser body and the entire blend is threaded with shamanistic dark strong Rustica.“

Started out with KBV’s Spaghetti Western, (fast becoming one of my favourite blends). Now, I’m smoking another KBV blend, the legendary Patience of Dr. Silence! It doesn’t get much better than this! 😄
