This is an excellent, mild Danish mixture that surely won't disappoint the aromatic fancier. It tastes mainly of honey and (faint) vanilla, but I do believe there are some cherries thrown in the mix also. It's pretty uncomplicated and consistent in taste, some will be happy to know that it's not excessively sweet either.
Burns easy, smokes easy and is surprisingly dry in the tin. Good room aroma that I can't imagine will offend anyone (if that is a concern).
I don't smoke it very often, though. It's simply too mild to satisfy the nicotine beast (but then again, what typical Danish does?).

I have found that when smoked in a conical bowl, this one improves significantly. I have dedicated my two Poul Winslow pipes to this tobacco...... and I do not usually like Danish Mixtures.
This is my least favorite of the Davidoffs. I am a definite Davidoff lover, but not much of a Danish man. I generally find Danish blends to be two overpoweringly sweet and heavily cased. Many have a heavy Cherry flavor and since I am mildly alergic to Cherries, I find this unappealing. Occassionally I will reach for this Danish when I am in a particular mood as I find it to be the lightest and least sickeningly sweet Danish I have come across. It also tastes and smells to me less like Cherry and more like Raisin or Brandied Apricot. As with all Davidoffs, only the finest tobacco.
If you are looking for a milder Danish, you should give this a try.

Beautiful Virginia color with thin ribbons. While feeling a bit dry to the touch, the blend packed well. The tin smells sweet with note# of dried fruit.
I am still fairly new to pipe tobacco and am learning quickly I do not favor most aromatics. I was very pleased with the early draws on this blend. The nose carries a slight sweetness that doesn’t pollute the taste of the smoke. I found this a very pleasant after-breakfast smoke on a cold December morning.
I enjoyed everything about this blend.

While I have no idea what makes a blend "Danish", I find myself enjoying most I come across. While it may be coincidence and nothing to do with being "Danish", most have a Graham Cracker aroma that pleases me' nose.
The fig/fruit flavoring present mixed wonderfully with the natural Burley to make the aforementioned Windmill cookie vapors - making a gentle, inviting Aromatic. The cut has good thick tendrils and was the right immediate-packing moisture. The lit product was easy to sip and maintained a slightly sweet, nutty smoke needing no attention for all day puffing.
It was less fruity and almost as good as my current Danish; Stanwell's Melange (which replaced my beloved Drew Estate's Grand Central), yet I would have no problem mixing up the rotation with a tin of Danish Mixture.

I call this type of aromatic a "tobacco lovers" aro. This is not a "candy" or goopy aromatic. There's a light, sweet flavoring that's a bit fruity and a bit of honey. After that, the star of the show is definitely the top shelf Virginias. Very enjoyable and first class. Personally, I didn't pick up on the burley but I would agree there's a bit of Cavendish in the mix. I am smoking the last bowl of this pleasant blend as I write. I bought the tin 08/07/14 and started smoking on Christmas Day 2015. Since it took a year and a half to finish the tin, you can surmise I don't smoke very frequently these days. My go-to blends are English but I always have a few aromatics on hand for my evening smokes. I would definitely smoke this blend again but it didn't hit my got-to-have-some-as-soon-as possible-again so I am rating it 3 stars.

If I ever intend to introduce anyone to pipe smoking, I guess this blend would get to my mind.. One of the absolute best in my opinion.. Packs well, smokes well, stays lit and has a fantastic flavour and a well received aroma.. And Yeah, I get cheesy... and smoke it in a Stanwell so it would be Danish in Danish

To me Davidoff's Danish Mixture is the quintessential old school Danish blend, i.e. it's an aromatic with a typical pipe tobacco scent, but its favoring is unobtrusive, still letting through genuine tobacco taste.
The ribbon cut blend consists mainly of Virginias and Burley with some toasted Black Cavendish added. The tin note is sweet and pleasant with hints of honey and vanilla.
Using the Frank method, I find filling my pipe quite easy. It usually takes just a single charring and true light to get the bowl burning evenly. After that the pipe doesn't require too much attention.
As long as you enjoy Danish Mixture coolly, you're rewarded with a mild, smooth and creamy smoke that is perfect for starting the day. Due to the light flavoring, there's a pleasant taste that reminds me of shortbread, which still lets through the slightly tangy natural sweetness of the Virginias and some nutty aftertaste from the Burley. It's a balanced smoke throughout the bowl.
The room note is real crowd pleaser.
Unfortunately, Davidoff's Danish Mixture is quite expensive, which is probably partly a question of brand prestige.

I like this tobacco. I have smoked a pipe off and on for fifty five years. Just started back six months ago. I have ordered at least ten brands/mixtures, trying each one a couple of times. This is one of my favorites.

Funny how this is called Danish Mixture - cos it reminds me somewhat of sweetcure bacon. Its a very nice, well behaved light amd aromatic shag. Not sure it's quite worth the £15 price tag(cheapest I can find in the UK) but I will probably still replenish this when the time comes.
