CAO Eileen's Dream

(2.91)
Inspired by CAO's flavorful Eileen's Dream Cigarillos, this blend begins with a base of quality Virginia and black cavendish leaf and then infuses the same with a frothed cream that's been laced with superior Irish whiskey and coconut milk, followed by a subtle mixture of hazelnut paste, ground almonds, cocoa and vanilla extracts.

CAO – Eileen’s Dream

I purchased a sample of this as a part of a special offered by an online retailer in conjunction with a YouTube piping channel. Since I began my piping journey again in the last year or so I have made a point to try and stay away from aromatics. I think that was a wise decision.

Opening the tin (ziplock bag) and I get a very strong whiff of what smells like Bailey’s Irish Cream Liqueur. I should mention that I do not care for Bailey’s. I get virtually no tobacco scent out of this.

The tobacco is in what I would call a ribbon cut, dark brown with some lighter strands. It feels almost greasy to the touch.

Upon lighting I’m greeted with the overpowering taste of Irish cream, and not much else. I cannot taste any tobacco here, though my palate perhaps is not nearly as sophisticated as others’. After about the halfway point the cream taste disappears to be replaced with nothing. It tastes like hot air and not much else.

Would say that I was disappointed but I was frankly not expecting much out of this to begin with. Thankfully I only had to purchase what amounts to about three bowls. Unless you really love the taste of Bailey’s and prefer not to have any taste of tobacco at all in your aromatics I would steer clear of this one.

I will start this off by saying the tin I received is new packaging, where half the label warns you about dying if you smoke it. Fun. Don't know if the blend is any different.

Tin note was utterly unlike how their cigarillos smell or taste. Not nearly as rich and creamy, instead a sort of dark chocolate or liquor, but not exactly in a good way. Set it out to dry, and even 15 minutes later there was no noticeable change in moisture (which was very damp and sticky). It was extremely difficult to light, and tasted of cheap tobacco and some sort of half-assed cream liquor. Room note was about how it tasted. Somehow even the suspicious cigarillos I have for these, with the wrong band design and paper binder, tasted and smelled better than this. Very disappointing for CAO.

I 100% agree with pappageorgio I am too victim of Muttonchp recommendation. There too many flavorings as mentioned in description then again in flavouring that all of them mixed up and gave me a tin note of McDonald's men's room... couldn't with stand the smell and emptied some flat on paper towel to air it out in a hope it's gets better but effort in vain. Smoked quarter of a bowl and dumped it out and put the rest of tobacco in a jar let's hope it gets better. Not smoking again till after some good aging.
