Mmmm, a true drug. Could be considered a benchmark for quality aromatics. All the good things you've heard about it are true and in my case it really hits the spot, the eyes glaze over and I am lost in its complexity. I would suggest keeping it in rotation with something less sweet because there's a risk that you will finish the tin on its own and miss the contrast required to fully appreciate Sunset Breeze. Oh, and if you're at a party get ready to explain what you're smoking twenty times!

Like smoking a glass of Amaretto! A very fine taste. It is sweet and will not appeal to anyone except the Aromatic afficianado. slight gurgle at the end,but well worth it. Different from American aromatics in the sense you still taste the tobacco and is much drier. Definitely worth a try!

I'm not a big fan of aromatics, at least I didn't think I was. This stuff is yummy. I find myself lighting up a bowl of this in the house just to smell the fragrance. My only complaint is it burns a bit hot and gurgles if you're too aggressive. Puff it slow and steady and let the flavor and aroma arouse your senses. I've dedicated a pipe just for this stuff.

Upon opening the tin I was greeted by the sweet aroma of amaretto with what seemed to be just a hint of cherry and pineapple, (infact not disimilar to the taste of diet cherry coke). It smells absolutely gorgeous in the tin and the room note is equally pleasant. Sunset Breeze is also something of a visual treat. The short cut ribbons of tobacco contain flecks of gold amongst the black and tan that make up this wonderful aromatic mixture. The tobacco was easy to pack and light, and it smoked cool with only the occasional hint of tongue bite - the result of some overly enthusiastic puffing!. This particular Peterson blend is one of my favorites and certainly the aromatic of choice for lighting up when out and about - particularly at the local pub enjoying a pint or two. Highly recommended - ALMOST four stars!

10/08/2004. As aromatics go... this is a winner! Relatively dry, packs well, lights easily, makes lots of tasty smoke. It is lightly cased so puff slowly to avoid tongue-bite. Definitely one-note flavor as are most aromatics. You can taste real tobacco under the flavoring. Not gummy, no gurgle. I do smoke this in a cob or Grabow for the sake of my better pipes. I bought this in bulk from my tobacconist.
06/09/2006. Since I have by now smoked the tinned version, here is an update. While it is a quality and very tasty Aromatic I grew tired of it rather quickly. Four stars for "Aro" lovers, two and one-half for the rest of us.

This is for sure a quality aromatic tobacco. At first I did not like it that much, but leaving the tin opened for a bit turned in much better smoking experiences. Taste is is round sweet biscuits; the amaretto aroma is nicely present till the end of the smoke. Even when (towards the end of the bowl) the flavoring fades slightly away; the tobacco taste is sweet and full thanks to the very good leaves quality.

I'm not normally a fan of aromatics. I've sampled blends before that left a positive first impression, only to end up being given away after the third bowl or so.
I've managed to put away most of a tin of this stuff, and it has definitely grown on me. There is a real tobacco flavour underneath the topping (which, although pleasant and quite noticeable, is not overwhelming). Recommended.

This is my favourite of the Peterson tobaccos. It has a great smell and taste. I try to tins of this in stock at all times. If you are looking for a great tasting blend that leaves you and your neighbor's wanting more -- look no further.

Okay this is one of the best aromatic tobacco I have tried, the aroma is great and it's one of the first times that one tobacco changes taste 3 times in a bowl. First you will feel a bite and then a full aroma, at the middle of the bowl, the amaretto taste comes and then at the end the virginia blend comes in the surface. Very nice with a glass of red wine.
