Newminster No. 9 Creamy Vanilla

(1.75)
African flue cured tobaccos are mainly used in this cavendish blend, in a mixture of cavendish cut and loose cut. The sweet vanilla taste makes this blend into a sweet and mild smoke.

Everything certainly smelt devine in the bag, with a clean Vanilla nose tingle and hints of graham crackers in this candy treat. The uniformly cut brown Cavendish had a nice sturdiness, moisture, and packed liked a compressed bird nest... though by bags end things got drier and more brittle.

The product lit nicely without many relights, the topping however must of burned off quickly, since I wasn't getting much Vanilla in the smoke, aside from some sweetness in the saliva. In fact this fairly bland mix became almost harsh near bowls end.

Initially the aroma reminded me of Mac Baren's Vanilla Cream loose cut, but by bags end, it all went to ash. Really the first miss from Newminster, so don't be afraid to try their other products.

I find this vanilla flavoring tastes fake and 'chemically'. Its the Villager copy of Stokkebye Vanilla Creme. I'd highly, highly suggest Mac Baren Vanilla Creme instead.
