Mac Baren Vanilla Cream Loose Cut

(2.89)
This colorful blend consists of loose cut Virginia tobaccos, light brown Burleys, a sweet and soft Modern Cavendish. It is finally mixed with small plugs of flake tobacco. After processing, the tobaccos are gently mixed together and an exceptional vanilla flavor is added. This selection creates an outstanding blend with superior flavor, unique aroma and a distinctive taste experience.
Notes: Introduced in 1999. Due to EU regulations this is now re-named in those countries as "Classic Loose Cut".

I have been looking for a nice vanilla tobacco since memories of the scents coming from old men smoking vanilla and cherry flavored tobaccos got me into smoking pipes in the first place.

This was a total miss. It was downright terrible. Upon the first light, it basically destroyed my mouth with a spicy burn. I would compare it to trying to eat an entire box of Red Hots or cinnamon tic-tacs at one time. I resisted the urge to just dump it out and eat my losses though. It did mellow out around mid-bowl, but this was not enough to make up for the beginning. It basically tasted extremely low-quality.

Unfortunately, I'm now stuck with a little less than 100 grams of this stuff. Fortunately, it smells good in the tin and my girlfriend said she wanted to use it as a room freshener.

The quest for a good aromatic continues. Smells good. That's it. Get an aroma-therapy candle if you want a pleasant odor.

This MacBaren disappointed me! It charred up bitter and after several charring lights is was still bitter! Approx. after 2/3s of the bowl was finished did the bitter disolve away. In my estimation this tobacco does not compare to other major vanillas on the market today. A bad investment on my part.

Sounds inviting, the name, I mean... Vanilla Cream, hmmmmmm. Well upon trying it, and then re-trying, I am left having to say that it's just not for me. Something in this blend left me feeling not so good upon smoking it, I felt a little ill. Not sure what it was, however, it's unfortunate, since I think highly of MacBaren tabaccos.

I'm really writing this review to remind myself to stay away. Hmmmm,,,, can't figure out how to paste a skull and cross-bones in this review.....

Pth..th...thh..thhh...ttt !!!! stay away, stay away, evil vanilla cream voodoo.

Ok...this is the last MB I am reviewing, and I have tried quite a few others....not meaning to sound redundant, if my reviews have been read, but this is garbage. Hot burning, sweet smelling...same ol' same ol' MB. I was hoping this would be the one aromatic I could like as much as the folks around me...but I dont...sorry MB...but I would rather smoke in solitude with a "stinker" than have another case of casing caused critical cauterization...use caution all who step the MB way.

In the end...what is more important? An excellent room note or a great tasting tobacco....my choice has been made..bye bye MB Vanilla.

Bitey, sickly sweet, and not pleasant to the palate at all. This is the first MacBaren tobacco that I have not liked. I just cannot get the hang of this stuff. If I am going to smoke an aromatic I want it to be an enjoyable experience, not one I regret. I cannot recommend this.

I do not have the time to describe the attributes of this tobacco in detail as others do. However, as I do wish to contribute some feedback, I will simply rate this tobacco on a scale of 1 ?10, including tenths.

I am no longer partial to heavily flavored aromatics and this blend is one of them. If you like them, you will love this blend so take my review with a grain of salt. I rate this tobacco 5.0 out of 10.
