This was not me, it was really really mellow and no tasting at all. Here in Denmark the Scottish blend is one of the top sellers, but i dont understand why.

It reminds me of MOB mellow, maybe it needs some time. I was hoping Mac Baren had a aromatic, that taste good.

Maybe the first time that I've purchased a tobacco based on good reviews on this forum and I'm totally disappointed. Despite the 35 declared tobaccos in the mixture, I get no taste at all. If 35 were an even number, I would guess that the tobaccos canceled out each other...

I have been working on a tin i opened a few weeks back from the mid 70's i got online... after opening it it looked promising, still moist and it was a beautiful deep aged tobacco smell and beautifully dark in color.... then i smoked it...i have to say no matter how this is packed, how its smoked, dried out, fresh, slow puff, fast, any way what so ever i try and in any pipe it makes my mouth light up like no other tobacco i have ever smoked... this stuff is brutal, its almost like its a chemical reaction with me, i wanted to like it because the current version of this isn't so bad and i quite like it, but this aged one i'm tossing in the trash... that's my 2 cents.

This sounds like a nice blend but unfortunately the bite is to much to enjoy. I could not distinguish any of the flavors in this because the bite was so bad. Also had a bit of a chemical taste to it. I tried this and symphony at the same time and it seems as though they are basically the same blends with the same tobaccos. They tasted exactly the same to me with the same bite and chemical taste. Do not think I will be buying any more Mac Baren products.

It smells good in the tin, like honey comb, but not like tobacco. It is weak in strength, burns hot and peppery.

I then used it as a filter in a big bowl, filled the bottom 1/3 with it and topped off with Carter Hall. It still stung my tongue.

Dauntless, I tried loading a bowl and drawing on it without lighting and it stung my tongue. This is an evil weed. Save your money and stay away.

very non-descript. the aroma reminded me of plain cigarettes. it was also very stringy and hard to keep lit. not one I'll buy again.

A landmark for pipe smokers: the first non-tobacco blend! No tobacco detected in this mixture.

I couldn't quite figure out what this stuff smelled like in the pouch; the closest I can come is to liken it to old, dried-out potpourri. The smell notwithstanding, I gave it a go.

A lot of reviewers had a problem with this stuff biting the tongue. This only occured on my second bowl. My biggest problem with Mixture is that it has no taste whatsoever. Except for the nasty sour taste it imparted to the pipe, that is. You might as well just puff on an unloaded pipe; it'll give you the same taste, minus the nasty sourness, and smoke much cooler.

"Explore the world of MacBaren," they say. I'm reasonably sure my exploration of that world has come to an abysmal conclusion.
