I'm a relatively new pipe smoker, and I had heard from many that this blend was very good for both new pipe smokers and former cigarette smokers. (I quit smoking cigarettes more than a year ago; started smoking a pipe about two months ago.)
What a disappointment.
Apparently there's Latakia in it, but I can't taste it. What I can taste is barely noticeable. The room note isn't great, either, if I'm to believe those who were around me when I was smoking it.
Definitely not for me. I'll be sending what I have left to a friend.

This tobacco is garbage. It is way too high in nicotine. Leaves me with a headache, and is extremely unpleasant. The tin smells pretty good, smelling it will be the only way I'll enjoy it from now on, if I don't throw it out.

I actually enjoy the flavor and aroma of EMP, but try as I might, I simply can't keep this stuff from drying out my entire mouth and biting the hell out of my tongue.

Very disappointed by this blend, especially given its name. If your idea of a good start to the day is a harsh, bitter smoke with the mouthfeel of wet cabbage then go for it.

Bought it in Bulk form, and it didn't taste at all like the EMP I used to get. Not hardly worth smoking. Whoever is producing this for Dunhill has missed the mark entirely. Very Boring to smoke, tobacco not great quality. Sorry, the tinned might be better, in fact it would have to be. It seemed it had more latakia than this blend possesses. Those old names like Three Nuns, Dunhill, Rattray are gone I guess. No one wants to do it right.

Leaves a pungent and unpleasant taste. Ruined several good cups of coffee trying to enjoy this blend. SWMBO hates the sidestream aroma.

Revised: I used to smoke a lot of the previous incarnations of EMP. This new blend has about half the strength and flavor, or less. It's basically a watered down version of the EMP of yore, very mild, almost cigarette like. If that's your thing, go for it. It's not bad as a first morning smoke, but not the all-day smoke it used to be.

Oh yes, Dunhill no longer exists! I've tried a tin of this blend. It was about 30 years who do not smoke, and never buy it! I do not understand why they leave the can was, and the blend is completely different from the original. Maybe it will be for those who do not have smoked the original?

Well OK, I bought a tin of this and I must say it was the worst thing I ever smoked, yuk, burnt tire syndrome. It made me want to vomit. Sorry, this stuff is horrifying!

Whoa, whoa...hang on. Just hang on for a minute. I have to respond to all the good reviews of this blend. This tobacco is just downright wierd. Wierd taste. Wierd room note. Too expensive. And call me half-committed to pipesmoking, but the last thing I really want to do is smoke a pipe early in the morning. This was definitely a let down.
