When opening the tin, the first thing to notice is a pleasant sweet smell, like a freshly baked pancake. A close look at the colors of the tobacco reveals a mix of about 50% dark Cavendish, about 40% brown Burley and probably about 10% yellow Virginias. Easy to pack, burns cool and dry, with no tongue bite. The sugary taste in the pipe is similar to the tin's aroma. The sweetness lingers in my skin and clothing for a while. Even my wife likes the smell. It is indeed a pleasant smoke.

[Edit: I recently opened a tin of the green which was lackluster without much flavoring of any kind. Still an easy smoke, but no longer a 3 star in my playbook.]
Well no marks for the generic packaging (one of the few tins that is improved by the look of the warning label). The aroma inside is sour and whatever fruit lived there is now deceased, rotten, and ceremoniously buried with a light dusting of sugar. Not the best air freshener, but I was eager to spark up having been impressed by other stinky Aromatics before.
The mottled mix of dark Cavendish and lighter Burley had a good thickness and moisture level, without an annoying sticky topping. Had a nice even burn with an easy smoke that I found myself inhaling on a few occasions. I didn't really notice what the fruit is supposed to be, yet I was happy with the sweet residue left on my tongue nonetheless.
While I can't identify a specific flavor here, it made for an all day smoker and reliable Aromatic I would be happy to puff again.

This is high quality and deliciously fragrant tobacco. It will not bite you and the room note is wonderfull. Unfortunately it is also very, very mild.
Edit (2016-03-04): After having bought another tin, I have to boost my rating to three stars. The honey casing is subtle and as you progress through the bowl the strength of the tobacco increases to a more acceptable level. I like this as an entrée smoke before smoking a stronger non-aromatic.

Smells good on opening. Looks good too. Hard to light and zero character. First bowl wasted. Not good so far. Will try again, but other reviews pretty much hit the nail on the head

I find the taste of this tobacco rather light. So I like it when I just want to relax without searching of any kind of flavor or taste.

It's tempting to give this a one star review to punish Davidoff for trading on their name rather than their product, but the truth is that it's not that bad.
It's very mild but as that's the point of this blend I can't fault it for that either.
My problem is that it's not just mild, it's insipid. It lacks anything interesting in its meekness.

Nice change of pace. A subtle aromatic for sure, but I enjoyed it thoroughly. Davidoff makes elegant pipe tobacco’s, not just cigars. I’m no expert, but I can taste hints of Carmel and a little vanilla in addition to the tobacco. Smokes cool.
Leave it in a jar for three months, really improves.

Not much to add to what has been written so far.... it is what it says it is. Unflavored cavendish, virginia and burly.
When I first smoked Green Mixture I was unimpressed. I tried it again and was less critical but still not all that happy.
Now I tred it in a cob and am satisfied that its not as bad as some reviewers have suggested.
The tin note is a little floral and I pick up a background sweetness that faintly reminds me of caramel. The 3 components smell in balance, the cavendish and virginia being at the for front.
Lighting it up it comes across rather fruity and sweet, it mellows through the bowl with the virginia tastes gradually dissipating.
Not a bad smoke, not going to win any prizes. What struck me was how easy it was to keep lit. I find it Relatively cool smoking and experienced no tongue bite.
Like I said at the beginning, it is what it says it is. Will I buy it again? Probably not. Would I recommend it to someone else? If you are after a cool burning, fairly one dimensional, unflavored cavendish blend, give it a go.

A very nice blend, balanced and well blended. It is similar in many ways, and I refer to it as the middle blend to the Red and Blue. A mild sweetness and grassy flavor from the Virgnia with a vanilla taste. It has a nutty finish and no after taste. A pleasant smoke with no bite, dry and cool. It is a nice daily smoke, I like it in the morning in rotations with Sutliff and 1957 4th Generation in rotation. I recommend for first time pipers as well as a solid foudation in flavors.

Oh, this stuff is not so bad. Was wavering between two and three stars, but have decided on three, though for me personally, two-and-one-half. Anyone who reads my reviews knows I forgive most anything but Mixture No. 79 and Borkum Riff Whiskey. Not an aromatic; I would say it's very lightly topped, vaguely fruity, but would really be better with a bit more fruit. Lightly sipped, it is pleasant enough. My tin is about 12 years old, by the way. I think this will be good to go to when I have smoked too many pipes, and my mouth is burned out, and I need something mild and forgiving, but don't think I will buy it again, unless it's half price or something. Will make a good blender...
