D & R Tobacco Vengeur Regular Blend
(2.29)
A medium bodied blend, developed to be smooth and flavorful, with no bitter taste on the palate. This satisfying blend of flue-cured gold leaf, air-cured burley and Oriental tobaccos tastes great. A combination of flue-cured, burley and Oriental tobaccos.

D&R (Daughters and Ryan) Vengeur Pipe Tobacco
Reviewing as RYO (Roll Your Own), MYO (Make Your Own), SYO (Suff Your Own) cigarette tobacco. Stunned by this one, must of got a bad bag. My finding are contrary to everything I researched. To me, does not fit the description at all. First couple puffs detect sweetness, with a little honeysuckle, then acidity takes over, total hot astrigency towards end of smoke. Aftertaste lingers on the back of my tounge, can't smoke two in a row or ruins the taste of smoking anything else. What is up, "no bitter taste on palate"? Suppose to be a balanced blend, all I get is sour. Hate to ding a reputable mfg or the merchant, but I can not smoke this anymore.
Edited 4/1/12 Sampled another bag, none of the enduring nasty sensation on the back of my tongue. More deeper honey/floral/a little roasted chestnut flavor. A bit much aftertaste for mass consumption. This bag would rate two stars. Based on inconsistancy, still a zero to one star overall.
Edited 5/7/12 Sampled third bag, more like the second bag. A little less floral, more apricot in flavor. Notice some throat harshness. Assuming the first bag was defective, two stars for the last two bags.
