Cornell & Diehl Mocha
(2.26)
C&D's Mocha should appeal to the coffee lover, as well as those around you. It is half espresso and half dark chocolate, a rich chocolate flavor on an all black cavendish base.

Cornell & Diehl - Mocha.
The paper topping which is normally white has been stained pure brown, giving an inclination of the type of smoke on its way. The blend smells strongly aromatic, again, indicative of the smoke about to present itself. The ribbons are quite coarse and a little moist; not soaking, but tacky.
In the smoke I get a faint touch of alcohol, the majority of the smoke's coffee, chocolate, and vanilla black Cavendish. It's very indulgent. The smoke has a heavy build, requiring an open window. I find the burn superb, being cool, even and reliable, distributing a bite-free smoke.
Nicotine: mild. Room-note: wicked!
Mocha? Lovely. Four stars:
Highly recommended.

Got a 2oz tin of this ordered over the internet. My girlfriend gave it to me as a Christmas gift because she knows that since I'd heard about the old ones series I was very curious to try C&D blends. Unfortunately they're not sold by any retailer in Europe as far as I know.
So I cracked the tin. The round paper sitting on the tobacco appeared to be soaked in brown liquid. I removed it and saw brownish-black maybe a little purple Black Cavendish that was shiny/moist looking. I believe I was laughing out loud at this sight, I'd never seen anything like this. It turned out that the tobacco looked moister than it felt. It had an oily feel that has to be mostly humectants.
The smell reminded me basically of hazelnut- nougat, very sweet and strong, almost overwhelming.
I was unsure on how long to dry it; nobody here seemed to have written a word about drying time. I had a portion of this tobacco sitting in a bowl on the table for about 20 minutes before deciding to try and smoke. It was still pretty moist. At least Samuel Gawith level. But then I thought maybe there's a reason why they sell it like this.
Packed it quite loosely. It didn't take on the flame very easily but when it did, I was really surprised how reliably it burned! At no point of the bowl it got hot, biting, harsh, rough, bitter or too wet!
The smoke tasted sweet but the saucing did not taste nearly as powerful as it smelled. The Black Cavendishes did taste very well made and I was able to enjoy them, like I seldom do. There is only one thing I would complain about and that is sadly a lack of intensity in taste.
Left a little moisture in the bowl.
A very new kind of blend to me and I think that Cavendish and aromatic lovers might like it, though it's mild in every aspect.

Mocha is a good example of this blender's excellent products that overcome the usual aromatic disadvantages of poor burning and/or tongue bite. The taste and aroma are excellent and it burns like a good regular tobacco. It smells like a rich coffee/chocolate mixture and some of that actually comes through in the taste.
Because I am a very mild tobacco smoker - English blends have always given me headaches and I've felt sick for hours after I've tried them every time (especially those with latakia) - my favorite everyday tobacco blend is Lane 1Q. It can get boring after a while because it has little flavor of its own, so I often smoke it with a good aromatic blended into it. A mixture that is 1/4 Mocha and 3/4 Lane 1Q is just right for me and I love it. Everyone loves the aroma too, from what I hear.
Mocha is one that I always plan to keep on hand to smoke myself and to share with friends.
