"I've lit up a Hershey bar." This was my first thought upon lighting Sutliffs Chocolate Mousse-B30. I obtained a pouch at the 2017 TAPS show in Raleigh, NC and thought I would give it a try. The pouch smell is strong, nearly "overpowering." Like smelling a box of chocolates. "Life is like a box of chocolates," after all and, with with this I could say I, "never knew what I was gonna get." LOL I loaded up a small meer, which I keep for sampling things which I fear may ghost a briar. It was very moist out of the pouch but it lit up on the first try and stayed lit the whole way through. I only had to tamp once on that bowl or the next, full sized one. It did leave a bit of dottle in the bottom of each bowl. As to the smoke? As I said in the beginning, I wasn't sure if I was smoking tobacco or a candy bar. After awhile it settled into tasting exactly like a chocolate milkshake. It was even smooth and creamy. The problem being, I was smoking my pipe, not drinking a milkshake! No tobacco flavor at all. I had to wonder how heavily cased this is, and with what, to get this taste/ sensation? The taste remained the same throughout both the small and large bowls which I tried. It did not get hot and there seems not chance it could bite. My wife, who loves the room note of H&H Egg Nog or Hobbits Weed, tells me that the room note was "too sweet." Final impression, this seems more like something I would think should be in a "hookah" than in a real tobacco pipe. However, if you really want something sweet, here it is. Particularly if you have a taste for chocolate and, for whatever reason, you cannot eat the real thing. While strong aro's are not usually my thing, I may keep a bit on hand. Who knows? It may help with my diet!

I was so disappointed by itself, but I recommend as a blend mixer! The tin note was super chocolatey but once lit, it was a cheap, artificial flavor. Overpowering and unpleasant to me. The smoke was thick and strong, which was good but the chocolate was not good. HOWEVER, I will say that it worked great as a blend mixer. Good cutter and gave an extra layer.

I rate this blend 5 out of 10

This was another blend I tried early in my tobacco smoking career. I was looking for chocolate and got exactly what I was looking for in this blend! It is certainly rich with chocolate both in smell and in taste and for a long time I loved this blend for that fact. I would say it is of mid grade quality as an aromatic in that there is a slight aftertaste and hints of chemical additives in the flavoring, but overall it is pleasant to smoke and much better than your run of the mill gas station type chocolate cigar or something. If you are looking for chocolate, definitely give this one a try.

One thing I have learned from reading reviews on this site is that tobacco tastes are very subjective and just because a lot of other people like (or DON'T like) a blend does not necessarily mean it will be one that I personally enjoy...so for that reason I encourage you to please take these reviews and ratings with a grain of salt.

The only reason I got this was because I've never had tobacco fused with chocolate before—in other words, just plain curious. First off, the bag note was undeniably full of chocolate scent; what I would consider to be a rich, dark chocolate (it reminded me of brownies). I enjoyed the bag note.

Upon lighting, the chocolate additive came through loud and clear, but after the first few puffs it started to disappear. On the snork the chocolate was also present, but, like I said previously, the taste withers away rather quickly. As the bowl progressed the tobacco got hot, really hot, and some other, much less pleasant tastes started to appear; not chocolate, nor anything else I could identify, other than a really odd chemical-like taste (a plastic, faux taste of some sort). A nasty backwash built up along with it.

The first third of this blend was mildly entertaining, the rest not so. My main problem with this blend is WHY? Why would you want to SMOKE chocolate? Geez, I mean, wouldn't you rather be EATING it? It's very difficult for me to get my head around this unholy alliance.

Some would say, I'm sure, the scent is what this is all about, after all, it's an aromatic, but, my gallery not once commented about there being any "chocolate" in the air (though, as everyone knows, I smoke for myself and not others).

So, in the end, this marriage between one of the most healthy and complete foods on the planet (sans processed sugar, of course) and tobacco, really doesn't make any sense to me. Perhaps someone else can explain why this is a good idea, but not me.

My curiosity is now satisfied. No more chocolate/tobacco combos for me (if I can help it).

Keep on pipin'

This blend smells like brownies. Unfortunately, it doesn't really taste like brownies. Just opening the sample bag made my entire apartment smell like brownies. The taste is mild sweetness, with maybe a hint of chocolate. Honestly, it doesn't deliver.
