King Smoking Pipes and Cigars King Frog Morton
(2.50)
King Frog Morton is the result of our long-time effort to reproduce the now discontinued McClelland Frog Morton pipe tobacco. We won't claim it to be an exact match, but we believe we've come up with a satisfying blend that reproduces Frog Morton's silky smooth mouthfeel and rich, Latakia character. Whether or not you've ever smoked the original McClelland Frog Morton, we're sure you'll love this delightful English mixture.

This is not a bad tobacco. I agree, it doesn't deserve a "hateful" review. For those who do not know, Back in the 1930's there was FROG pipe tobacco produced by the American Eagle Tobacco Company. The label had a frog sitting on a log in a marsh. The frog was smoking a churchwarden surrounded by cattails. Sound familiar? Take a look:

The name and label for Frog Morton was far from an original idea.

I don't understand the hateful review. It was a bit rough when new but after a few months it mellowed nicely. Can't say it's like FM but it's got a nice heinzy slightly sweet and latakia scent to it. Burns nice. Bit expensive for what it is but if you buy it by the pound the per oz price comes down substantially. I can see a backwoods frog person smoking this stuff as pictured in the artwork that they used.
I used some of mine as a base for a boozier version, which I also added Sutliff Matured Red Va 515 RC-1 for some more of that sour Va. I added some Wild Turkey 101 bourbon to it and a leftover stave cube from SPC PPBB resoaked in Wild Turkey 101.
