Along the lines of Half and Half. Similar in packaging, pouch aroma, cut, and to a large degree flavor. It does, however, show differences from HH, mainly in the topping. It's hard to describe, it's almost as if they are blends meant to compete for the exact same shelf.

Un commento in Italiano per Italiani. Ho comprato una confezione di Carter Hall durante un mio viaggio negli states. Non ho parole. Buono, buono, buono, e potrei andare avanti per ore. All'apertura della confezione si viene inondati da un profumo di rum che appaga le narici ancor prima del gusto. Profumo delicato, aroma forte e dolce al tempo stesso. Non ho mai fumato nulla di simile nei miei 32 anni di pipa. Carter Hall ha cancellato 30 anni della mia storia di fumo di pipa. Caricamento facile, accensione quasi spontanea, si fuma da solo, nel senso che basta niente per tenerlo acceso. Fumata appagante tanto che diventa difficile dopo aver fumato una pipata non prendere una altra pipa e fumarne un'altra pipata. Sono ormai alla fine della confezione da 14 once e sto già elemosinando in giro tra quelli che andranno negli states di portarmene una altra confezione. Il fumo uccide ma, per dio, Carter Hall ti aiuta a vivere. Votazione: **** + **** + **** e potrei continuare fino a domani mattina. Saluti

The rating of highly recommended is only because I am judging it from its peers. Of all the drug store tobaccos this is the best. Its a no nonsense burly that will not foul up a pipe or make you chew gum all day to get the taste out. The burly is light with some nutty and sweet overtones. It packs easily and lights as good as any tobacco I have tried. The only complaint that I have is that like all drugstore tobacco's it si very wet and somewhat one dimensional.
