I like nicotine, but prefer to smoke it, not mainline it directly into my aorta. This must be that stuff they used on Uma Thurman when she OD'd in Pulp Fiction.

My experience was similar to Pipestud's, only after I fell off my horse, she dropped a meadow muffin on me then kicked me a few times for good measure.

Nice nicotine package. Designed just for that. It is possible to distinguish some aroma in it. For nicotine lovers and only. Better smoked on the open air. One should be careful not to inhale accidentally the smoke as with any strong tobacco. Smoke it only if you are confident in your nicotine tolerance and good health. The rating here clearly does no justice. And no such rating makes sense. This is quality tobacco meant for specific purpose. It is like comparing cognac with vine.

I cant find much to recommend this blend. This is quite rare, i usually can find enjoyment in most blends, even ones that dont particularly suit me. I almost thought i was getting there with this one, too...but then i just didn't. To be fair, ive only probably smoked 12 bowls of the stuff. Utterly wrecked 2 tasting cobs and ghosted a meerschaum quite badly for a while too. The issue here is one of flavor: this blend produces one that i just cannot believe is their intent, or has anything to do with natural tobacco. It is petroleum like, as some have mentioned burning rubber. Motor oil has been thrown out there, and this i agree with too. It is the most pronounced and constant flavor throughout, and it is so disagreeable that i can't get around it. I like the nicotine level, i like some carmelized fat/meat notes that whisper in and out of tge experience, i like the construction of the rope itself. I just cannot abide the toxic mechanical flavor that is so obvious throughout. I even chewed the stuff, several times. But the offending flavor is also present when chewed. Cant recommend this in any way.

I had the good fortune to try this with several much more mature and experienced smokers than myself at pipe show a few years back. The product (note the scarce use of the word tobacco!) had been shelved for a couple years to mature and it was the only experience with a rope tobacco I have ever had. This is certainly not a product for all tastes to be sure, but I will never forget the strength of this stuff. CAUTION TO THE MARRIED: try at home only with divorce insurance! Room note is off the charts.

Aaargh!! This is a pure, old-fashioned, uncased tobacco, full flavoured (to say the least of it) and murderously strong. I do - I really do - mean murderously strong. Oh, Lord!

It's very tedious to prepare for the pipe, and I found that it needed constant relighting (probably because I didn't take enough trouble to prepare it properly). The room note is horrendous.

There's plenty of flavour here, but not in a good way. If you like your baccy strong, rough and uncompromising, this is the horse for you; but be warned: this stuff is definitely not for the meek. When I can face smoking again, I'll not touch this. On the other hand, this is certainly a way to get closer to God.

It all depends on what you like; but, judging according to my own reaction to it, I wouldn't recommend it. It'll certainly kill the fleas on the cat, though. Be warned, by the way: it'll ghost up your pipe something awful. If you try it in a pipe you like, the memory will linger on for some time.

Some people actually chew this, apparently; which only goes to show that there are some mighty odd people in this world.

Like may others who have tried this blend, it was more of a curiosity that made me do it... What a mistake, the nicotine was crazy and the taste was so unrefined that I would rather give up smoking than smoke this again! My throat hurt I was dizzy and crap I only got through about a third of the bowl. Bizarrely enough I still wonder how the bowl would have finished.

This is for the Hearty, Leather Men, Not for the average joe. I recommend keeping it around for visitors- to try, what I feel, May be the STRONGEST. It is caustic smoke, Burning Leather, Earth ,ROBUST.. However, If you use a very narrow, small pipe, flavor can be detected. (Through The Smoke I Mean...) Whip It Out At Parties! Otherwise it hurts my stomach. - back when this type stuff was smoked, it was usually smoked in a long thin clay pipe with a little bitty bowl. It might be good this way........Otherwise, its too expensive for curiosities sake.

Unless you have a stomach of cast-iron, stay away from this stuff.

Not a bad tobacco. From the other reviews I had to try it. I don't get the big nicotine thing out of it. Mostly I guess because I also smoke cigarettes, nasal snuff, cigars, etc. The taste is a bit odd but I've found after four bowls in a row that I rather like it. Give it a chance. If you don't like it send it to me!
