Newminster No. 9R Rich Vanilla

(2.33)
High grade Brazilian flue cured tobaccos make the base of Newminster's blend No.9, Rich Vanilla. Gently transformed into a loose and mild cavendish. The sweetness of the cavendish tobacco together with the vanilla flavor gives a delightfully mild, sweet vanilla smoke.

Calling this one "rich" may be a stretch. It doesn't have the sugary high of Lane's BCA, nor a heavy fake topping that screams artificial left turn ahead, it's just a middle of the road vanilla. Similar to opening a bottle of baking vanilla while taking in it's cardboard box smell as well.

The Cavendish hasn't been overly processed, so you don't get a bag of jet black sticky stuff. Light in texture; packing is made simple. With little bite or nicotine, this is a mild easy smoker. Keeping with the reserved tin note, the smoke is also dialed back in vanilla. While light, it still comes across as an Aromatic, and your saliva finishes with a sweet sheen.

Neither a cheap smoke, nor an indulgent delicacy, No. 9R is fine for all day smoking, but not an after dinner dessert.
