I'm not much of an aromatic smoker. My consumption of these tobaccos can be measured in the low number of ounces per year, but I am fond of cherries and chocolate. On the basis of the reviews here and the extremely low price of this tobacco I decided to give this a try.
When I popped the bag open and inserted my nose I was welcomed by the smell of chocolate covered cherries. Packing a bowl, my first draws tasted like chocolate covered cherries. I tasted very little burley and almost no virginia--but that was okay. I didn't expect to taste much other than the topping, and the taste of that topping is so good i don't mind.
This is a wonderful change of pace dessert tobacco for me. There is very little vitamin n present, but I didn't expect that, nor do I intend to use it for that. It left me with a clean, sweet, pleasant aftertaste without the chemical greasy feeling something like Paladin or Borkum Riff leaves.
It doesn't bite, it smokes cool, it stays lit, and the taste is refreshing. At this price I can't ask for more. I'll probably have this 9 ounces jarred for a long time, but so far it has done what I need it to do.
Recommended.

This is my first Cherry Cavendish blend I have tried. The smell from the pouch is a rich cherry / dark chocolate similar to the "Cherry Ripe" chocolate bar, the smell translates to the taste nicely. As you get past the first half of the bowl, the flavour changes a little. I guess the cherry syrup and tobacco juices saturate into the base tobacco and the flavour gets a bit "goopy", it's still ok but not as nice as the first half bowl. This blend would have been better with a slightly milder cherry syrupy flavouring. I will still buy more (for under $5 a pouch it's worth buying to blend or store)
EDIT: Tried this in a cob today whilst enjoying a coffee outside, the second half flavour change I got with briar didn't happen, whether it was the coffee or the cob Im not sure at this stage but I enjoyed the smoke throughout the whole bowl. Will leave it as a 3 star because I still think the cherry flavour is a tad bit syrupy.
