Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. Ennerdale Plug
(3.00)
The plug form of Gawith Hoggarth's biggest selling Lakeland floral flake. A blend of Virginias from Africa and south America with a little Burley from Malawi. The use of Burley and darker air cured tobaccos keep the smoke cooler and bring a woody, creamy texture to the smoke. Complex aromas of Rum, Vanilla, floral extracts, citrus fruit and almond result in a highly aromatic tobacco.

Gawith Hoggarth - Ennerdale Plug.
A dense, dark, plug that needs either a sharp knife of coffee grinder. It can be in need of an airing once chopped due to the dense build sealing in moisture.
The smoke wouldn't be too bad if it weren't for the Lakeland having quite a floral style. Generally speaking I'd class the smoke as having a busy flavour. The tobaccos taste nice, fruity, sweet, and nutty; the almond topping works nicely alongside this nuttiness from the Burley. The Virginias have a buoyant flavour without being too sharp, or grassy. Nicotine? It packs a punch! Room-note? Floral.
An ok smoke but not one I'll cellar.
Somewhat recommended.
