This was one of our pipe club's tobacco bar offerings not long ago and the gang really enjoyed the unique presentation of Virginia and Oriental leaf in Krumble Kake form. Not a bell ringer with most of the group, but the softness and almost tart like notes of the crispy Burley melded with the Virginia leaf sang well with the complimentary Turkish. There was some backbone added by the Black Cavendish, but not much. Personally, I just didn't find enough flavor to keep me interested for long.

Well I've been doing a lot of reflecting, pun intended, on this blend. I have to admit that it is aptly named. I don't often get stumped with a tobacco but this one has so much in it it has taken me a while. It is good for reflecting, but what exactly is it?

When you open your tin, the cake is more browns this time, and even though i know Latakia is in this blend it is hard to see. According to this website this blend has everything except the kitchen sink. I can smell bready, semi-sweet red Virginias, tangy, barbecuey, Kentucky, toasty Cavendish, sour Orientals, and very lightly smoky Latakia. Like I said there is a lot going on. Like the others it is easy to pack and light, and it keeps its light for the most part.

I typically smoke all my blends in a cob first and then my briars to try and get nuances from each. The first thing I notice is the Orientals they are very tangy, sour and herbal. Next I taste the spice and tang from the Dark Fired. There is a very mellow sweetness coming from the Cavendish that ties a lot of this together. There is some light breadiness from the Virginias, and the Latakia is hiding in the background. What makes this an interesting experience is that I am smoking this currently in a pipe that has been ghosted with Latakia adding a slightly more smoky experience than I got with the cob.

The taste is medium. The blend does its job there as its supposed to be a reflecting sort of blend. The strength is a medium too. This blend is complex and can make for an interesting smoke. I don't think it's an all day sort of blend but more of a once in a while. It's good at what it does but I don't think this is for me. I give this two stars.
