McCranie's Pamlico
(1.67)
An easy going, soft aromatic for the man who wants an all-day smoke that is not heavy. Orientals, Eastern Belt Carolina and a special black Cavendish provide plenty of satisfaction.

I recently received several of the McCranie brother's bulk blends to sample. I have tried a few in the past with pleasant results. Pamlico was not quite up to the standards I come to expect from McCranie's.
First of all, too many stems to pluck and chuck. Secondly, this blend tasted suspiciously like Dunhill's Early Morning Pipe without the Latakia. And, I'm not really a fan of EMP anyway.
True to form, this McCranie's proprietary blend lit easily and smoldered evenly with just the occasional tug. Not hot or bitey either. Just too Far Eastern in flavor to me despite the infrequent nuggets of sweetness provided by the cavendish.
