f you are looking for an Oriental/English for social times, this is not your tobacco. If you are looking for a smoke that you can enjoy in peace and solitude, and want something with a bit of body this is your tobacco. While not as good as LondonBlend 1000 it has a similar body and texture. The oriental is not as pronounced as I would like but about the last 1/3 of the bowl, it comes into play. My big complaint is all the crap pieces that showed up in my pound I purchased. There were plenty of stems and other misc. garbage parts that had to be sorted out. It also seemed a bit tricky to pack. I do enjoy this tobacco but with many other blends that do the same type of thing for me, I will only be able to say that it was worth a try but, will not replace some others in my rotation.

I too wonder if this is the exact same thing that McClellands offers as Bulk 5125. I think it is, if not it is too damn close to call it anything else. It looses a star for that in its self.

I believe this tobacco is miscategorized. This is an offering by McClelland and not McCraines. With that said, this is a nice oriental mixture. I find that I enjoy the aroma more than the taste of this particular blend. It has a wonderful caramelized, smokey aroma but the taste left me wanting more. I added extra latakia and some perique and this really hit the roof for me. I like this a good deal. It burns very well, is not overpowered by the virginias, and in bulk it is a very good deal. If you would like something that is a little dryer than the typical VA based balkans then give this a try.

I don't know how my review can top the insightfulness of the last one, but I'll give it a try. (-;

I believe Coyote to be more Virginian in taste than Latakian, but the latter certainly is there in a noticible amount. Is Coyote a McClelland's tobacco? It may be as I sure detected a vinegar smell in the pouch along with the various leaf.

Coyote burns very easily. It is also a very mild English blend. It is not offensive in any way and is even a bit sweet without the usual "leathery" flavor I associate with a true English blend.
