Mac Baren Vanilla Cream Loose Cut
(2.89)
This colorful blend consists of loose cut Virginia tobaccos, light brown Burleys, a sweet and soft Modern Cavendish. It is finally mixed with small plugs of flake tobacco. After processing, the tobaccos are gently mixed together and an exceptional vanilla flavor is added. This selection creates an outstanding blend with superior flavor, unique aroma and a distinctive taste experience.
Notes: Introduced in 1999. Due to EU regulations this is now re-named in those countries as "Classic Loose Cut".

Well, finally I found some "vanilla" mixture that besides the vanilla flavour has some "tobacco" on it. Very pleasant smoke, with a very nice and balanced room note. It burns nicely with no fuss at all. So far the best "vanilla" I have smoked and will continue to smoke it.

This is great, between this and the Scottish mix I am in smoke heaven. This has a heavenly light sweet aroma and taste. I think this deserves 5 stars. If you like vanilla and aromatic tobacco you will love this. I am going to order a five lbs bag when I find it.

This is not a great tobacco, but it's far from being a bad tobacco, either.
Upon opening the pouch, one is welcomed by a very nice loose cut of golden, brown and black leaves, accompanied by an outstanding vanilla aroma that will cool down over the first week.
When lighting up, the dominant taste is the vanilla casing, with, actuallly, some real tobacco taste in the background. My taste buds were slightly harassed for half a minute or so, and it cooled down. Good.
If smoked properly, it will behave and smoke rather dry till the end.
of course, being an aromatic, you have interest to let it dry properly to prevent it from being gooey in the pipe.
For a vanilla bakkie, not bad at all. I won't smoke it regularly, but this one will suit the aromatic lover.

Mac Baren Vanilla Cream was my tobacco number 4. Good Virginia and mild black Cavendish tobaccos. It has very nice Vanilla Flavour, and people really like his smell in room, but you really have to dry it well.

Sounds inviting, the name, I mean... Vanilla Cream, hmmmmmm. Well upon trying it, and then re-trying, I am left having to say that it's just not for me. Something in this blend left me feeling not so good upon smoking it, I felt a little ill. Not sure what it was, however, it's unfortunate, since I think highly of MacBaren tabaccos.
I'm really writing this review to remind myself to stay away. Hmmmm,,,, can't figure out how to paste a skull and cross-bones in this review.....
Pth..th...thh..thhh...ttt !!!! stay away, stay away, evil vanilla cream voodoo.

Ok...this is the last MB I am reviewing, and I have tried quite a few others....not meaning to sound redundant, if my reviews have been read, but this is garbage. Hot burning, sweet smelling...same ol' same ol' MB. I was hoping this would be the one aromatic I could like as much as the folks around me...but I dont...sorry MB...but I would rather smoke in solitude with a "stinker" than have another case of casing caused critical cauterization...use caution all who step the MB way.
In the end...what is more important? An excellent room note or a great tasting tobacco....my choice has been made..bye bye MB Vanilla.

Surely one of the top Vanilla aromatics going.
I really enjoy this blend, but it runs a wee hot, and with such a strong flavour for me, I smoke it light rotation. If smoked gentley, bite can be avoided.
Classic aroma, and pleasant to those around.
There are tobaccos that that wrap up this essence of their heritage, and this one never fails to firmly say to me: Dansk!
I always keep a few tins on hand, and no plainer endorsment can be had.

Bitey, sickly sweet, and not pleasant to the palate at all. This is the first MacBaren tobacco that I have not liked. I just cannot get the hang of this stuff. If I am going to smoke an aromatic I want it to be an enjoyable experience, not one I regret. I cannot recommend this.

Let me just say that my expectations were very low. I'm not very keen on aromatic tobaccos, but there are a few that I find quite good. This isn't the case. I respect and enjoy most of the Mac Baren products, but this one has only fruit notes (I was expecting lots of vanilla but, surprisingly, there was only a small touch of it). The burn is considerably regular, which makes this tobacco very good to pipe novices. The room note it is the only upside of this tobacco. My friends told me that the smell was very sweet and intense (OK, but for me, the smoker, it was a drag).

One of my favorite tobaccos, part of my permanenet rotation. I mean if you like aromatics. Now if you're keen to vanilla aromatics this is pure heaven!. It's very creamy, the vanilla is quite noticeable but not overwhelming, and it keeps a subtle tobacco aftertaste which I Love. It's slightly more tobaccoish and stronger than the Peter Stokkerbye Gold and Sweet vanillas. Not recommended for the non aromatic smoker, for the rest uf us, I suggest at least giving it a try.
