Bjarne The Mild One
(2.00)
Aromatic blend composed from various grades of sweet golden Virginia leaf and specially seasoned mild black cavendish.
Notes: 11/10/14: Industry source states that the original Bjarne tobaccos were a tribute to Bjarne Nielsen and that, although they are still being produced, they are for some "inexplicable reason" not available outside Germany.

The room note is a nice raisin sort of smell, but otherwise, this blend is totally underwhelming. As a previous reviewer said, this is like an ultra-light cigarette or something. It is the first tine of tobacco I regret purchasing. Oddly, it came highly recommended, and I can sort of see why for people who like mild smokes, but this one isn't that great. It has a lot of bite, too.

About the only thing that is good about this tobacco is the tin. I suppose that the blend itself is nice looking enough. Perhaps once or twice this delivered a pleasant smoke, all in all, it was flat and flavorless, generally reminding me of poor-quality ginger beer. What's more it was not that hard to get this stuff to bite.
Somehow, the Danes manage to make perfectly fine examples of styles of tobacco characterized by other countries, but when it comes to making what is supposed to be a Danish style blend, such as this one is purported to be, it is to be a failure.

A. Morley Jaques

Although the room note smelled like typical Dane aromatic ala Capt. Black, it just didn't taste like anything, (ultralight cigarettes have more flavor!). Kinda tasted like steam without the heat. The only reason I got a tin is because I bought it in a package with the other Bjarne blends. 2 out of 10
