A slightly sweet smoke based on mild white burley, Virginia, and black cavendish in similar proportions to many other aromatics. Not much tobacco taste, but a bit of nuttiness from the burleys and black cavendish brown sugar sweetness peeks through. The room note is agreeable and it did not bite or have chemical notes. A pleasant, rather bland smoke.

I've had more than half a year with the TCS Middle Earth blends in my regular rotation, and my overall impression is that these blends are a lot lighter than the blending bill and jar note would have you believe. The base tobacco is high quality, The blends are soft and approachable.
I have found that TCS blends like a lot of heat, and this one is no exception. When I tried to "sip" Rivendell, I got some creamy smoke and not much else. A little bit of heat got the cocoa to come through. When a puff hit right, this blend reminded me of LL-7, but I think LL-7 is better.
There's not much really going on to capture my attention. Old Toby is good and Second Breakfast is fantastic. I'll probably keep Second Breakfast, Green Dragon, and Bag End in my cellar. I'm glad I tried this, but I'll probably offload it soon and I won't re-up.

As I have put in other reviews I have tried to find an aromatic I can live with for social settings. This aint it. Frankly, I did not finish my first bowl. I am sure this is a fine aromatic for many, but the flavor is almost all topping and little tobacco. To me, the walnut/amaretto flavor dominated. Not the thing for a guy who mostly does balkans and full English blends.
