The whiskey casing is not too strong like so many other whiskey blends tend to be. The taste does tend to fade out toward the bottom of the bowl, but is still noticeable. No bite, which is unusual for whiskey blends. After taste is good. The tobacco burns lites and burns well with few relights. Room note is pleasant. Suitable as an all day smoke.
As an after note, if you haven't tried the Erin Go Bragh cigar, I would recommend them also

The Virginias are very citrusy. The overall taste is reminiscent of that of an old fashioned. There is a subtle burley flavor, the standard nutty quality. The casing is there, but plays a background role to the tobaccos. The old fashioned qualities make sense as there is a whisky flavor, a sweetness from the cavendish, and the Virginias give it the citrus twist. The burley rounds it out and makes it feel like a tobacco rather than a boozy vape. This is not much like the cigar of the same name (which I enjoy and piqued my interest in this blend), which makes sense as I believe they are entirely unrelated.

Nice pouch note. A little "bitey" if puffed too aggressively but when sipped patiently, however, it's quite pleasant and enjoyable - just like a good whiskey.
