Mac Baren Classic Amber
(2.67)
A decade after Vanilla Cream Loose Cut was introduced, a new tobacco in this line was created – Vanilla Toffee Loose Cut. The composition of the tobacco is almost identical, however, the big difference is in the aroma of the Vanilla Toffee.
The aroma and taste of this fine tobacco is very well balanced between the vanilla, the toffee and the different tobaccos. The blend, albeit with minor differences, is the same as Vanilla Cream where ripe yellow Virginia is mixed with burleys and a black cavendish based on Virginia tobaccos. On top of this, small pieces of flake are added for both taste and a help to keep the temperature down while smoking. All in all, the Vanilla Toffee Loose Cut is a very pleasant tobacco to smoke with a fine interplay between the sweet taste of vanilla, toffee and the natural tobacco taste.
Notes: Formerly known as Vanilla Toffee Cream, it is now known as Classic Amber due to new EU regulations.

Delightful sweet caramel aroma, sweet and very creamy Cream Caramel flavor with hint of Vanilla in the background, Mac Baren uses here the same excellent Virginia tobacco already present in their Vanilla Cream loose cut, however I find the casing is very similar to that one used in their Original Choice.
This is a first class Creamy Caramel blend.

Highly recommended brand from Mac Baren's! Burns well, made for slow, slow, slow, deeeeeeep puffing! Keeps the taste in the mouth for at least 2 hours after the bowl is done! Keeps the aroma until 80% of the bowl is smoked without being altered! One of the few tobaccos from Mac Baren's to actually encourage the smoker to keep on going till there is nothing left in the bowl but ash! Many times this far I immediately filled another bowl to continue the voluptuous experience! Cheers to that and made it my new favorite! Tip: When you buy a tin, open it for an hour or so, then close it and let it be for a month before smoking again! Gains in taste, strength and aroma! Enjoy it everyone!

Mac Baren - Classic Amber.
One of my first reviews that I thought needed re-typing!
The blends appearance is quite coarse, with a higher proportion of brown to black tobacco. The few tins I've had have only been a touch too damp, and the smell from the tin could be summed up with the word Devine.
To me, the smoke tastes reminiscent of Werther's Original butter candies, with a touch of vanilla. A bowl burns well, giving a cool smoke, leaving a white ash. As a bowl is smoked the sweetness seems to become heavier, making it more appropriate for aro' only folks! It goes from mild to medium, to steadfast medium to strong after halfway. Despite it becoming weightier with added flavours it still doesn't bite me throughout a bowl.
The nicotine's just above mild, and the room-note's sublime: butterscotch!
This isn't exactly my usual thing, but it deserves full marks for its genre!
Highly recommended.

Oh my dear what a lovely surprise! Last weeks I was looking to a more aromatic tobacco after smoking english blends for months . Having smoked Vanilla Cream Flake in the past which I really enjoyed I bought a pouch Amber. Opening the Pouch you smell a really sweet but pleasant smell. Like the VCF just a little stronger. The first quarter are lead by the toppings, but a tobacco taste is there altough. The clou to me was the second half of the bowl when the tobacco pairs with the topping in a delicious way. A little spice comes up too and clouds full of flavour, still sweet but tobaccish , make their way around me. It also has a little more strength than expected but I would rate it mild. The tobacco has all colours from very light to ca.30 percent black. This my go to heavy aromatic for my sweet mood. No bite, to me at least
