Peter Stokkebye Cherry Bonbon (No. 305)

(3.53)
The spectacular flavor and aroma of European cherry lend an air of sophistication to this blend’s agreeably sweet aftertaste. An additional casing sauce is used to under-score the mellow mildness of our world-renowned Black Cavendish. A medium loose cut.

I really enjoyed this blend and will be keeping it in my regular rotation. I love black cavendish tobaccos and have been looking for a mild cherry flavored one so added a few ounces of this to my regular tobacco order. Has a great pouch note, not too strong, not at all "cough drop" smelling at all like many cherry flavored tobaccos. I didn't expect much from the chocolate bit described on the advertisement but was really hunting a good cherry. Anyways I was pleasantly surprised when I could actually taste a bit of chocolate and the cherry was just perfect. Burns well with no relights, not too moist and requires no drying out. No tongue bite and a very mild smoke. I can't recommend this tobacco enough especially for novice smokers and aromatic lovers.

Incredible pouch note, mine was a little moist and burned a little hot, but I think with a little dry time it will improve. Taste was pleasant with minimal bite. One of my wife's favorites concerning the room note. Not bad overall, I likely will not keep it in my rotation, but I would not turn it down if someone offered a bowl.

UPDATE - I dried it out a little and what a difference - cooled down and no bite! I think this will be my go-to cherry. Moving from 3 to 4 stars

This is my first review but liked this enough to do one. I'm not an Aromatic smoker as a rule and Cherry flavor even less so. But PS Cherry Bon Bon is excellent. Nice pouch smell, the Cherry flavor is not medicinal as most are and there is a faint taste of chocolate in the back ground. Great taste. I puff fast but no tongue bite with this one. The strength is a medium to strong which is quite pleasant. This is the first Aromatic to really make a positive impression on me and it will become a regular part of my rotation, right up there with my English and Virginia/Perique blends. Surprised there aren't more reviews, since I think most would like this one. Like many PS blends the price is good too. I recommend you try it. You might get a pleasing surprise, I did.

A nice subtle cherry flavor with a very nice note of tartness. A touch of chocolate. A nice toasty Black Cavendish. Not very sweet and that works well here. More sweetness would probably detract from the tartness.

Black Cav aros are not my favorite type, but I've found a few really good ones lately and my attitude is starting to change. This is one of the really good ones.

Mild to medium in body and flavor. Flavoring is mild. Takes a few lights to get it going, but burns well after that.

Now this is a black cav aromatic! It's axiomatic that there ain't a lot of decent cherry aromatics out there, but this one is wonderful. Much like CB Dark or BCA with cherry added, but ballsier, somehow. I get a rich tobacco flavor and chocolate-cherry on the tin note; in fact, it's the same scent if you bought a box of good cherry cordials and mashed them together. The room note is exquisite, good cherry scent but not overwhelming. The chocolate is there but not as pronounced. Love the chocolate note on the false light!

Great burn, no bite, flavor gets richer as you go through the bowl. Let it dry 15-20 minutes first. Other reviewers agree: this is a mad smoke, addicting. Yeah, I like almost anything, but this is delightful. Probably a 3.4 - 3.7 smoke, but I wasn't gonna give it a 3 to bring the rating down, lol.

I found this to be a nice even smoke with just that hint of cherry throughout. A nice cherry flavor - not the heavy casing you often get. I tried about 8 cherry blends this summer and only found two I actually enjoyed that were not harsh or overly artificial. This blend is a great even, cool smoke with great flavor to the very end. Not harsh and is easy on the tongue for a cherry blend. You can thoroughly enjoy the entire smoke with this one. So smooth and tasty that my wife tried it and said I might need to buy her a pipe. You can't miss with this one. If you have been looking for a good mellow cherry smoke for your rotation, you may just find it with this one.

Smooth, cool, and creamy cherry with a sweet aftertaste. I love this stuff and keep it in my rotation always. Seems to be filled with nicotine though, which is fine by me, but it kind of packs a punch more than expected at first.

Great blend, ordering more today! 🙂
