HU Tobacco Casablanca Feeling

(3.00)
Casablanca – a classic in cinema history, exciting, suspenseful, romantic. All these attributes apply to Virginia ready rubbed flake as well. Its herbal spicy, citrus flowery aroma is exciting and seductive and blends perfectly with the Virginia‘s tartly sweet taste. A great, fascinating broken for friends and lovers of the tartly sweet tastes. Just like the movie about Rick, Ilsa and Laszlo, “Casablanca Feeling“ has what it takes to become a classic. "I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."
Notes: Aromatics: Herbs & Hickory Nut.

I am generally an aromatic smoker and asked that Hans include several of his non/semi-aromatic blends in a recent order, this among them.

Enjoyed it quite a bit - very pure / clean tobacco taste and obviously made with great care.

Since the HU blends are not available domestically, please let me know if you would like a sample; happy to share / spread the word about Hans' products - terrific stuff !

Another HU aromatic that is not really an aromatic . A very pleasant virginia blend that is easy on the palate and rewarding in it's taste . A ready rubbed dark brown tobacco with a tin note of herbs and spices but not over the hill by any means . It packs and lights easily but it smokes a little too rapidly for my taste . This is the type of tobacco you can fill, light and smoke mindlessly while you enjoy the flavor . The good quality Virginias are the major player here . This is not a complex blend , pretty much the same taste from start to finish . Good as a early morning smoke or any time you just feel like puffing . Very mild and with almost no nic hit , sort of a tasty snack when you get the crave .

The Casablanca Feeling is a Virginia ready rubbed flake, mixed with Virginia and Burley loose cut. It`s a middel to darkbrown tobacco. The tobacco smells a little bit sweet, like toffee and a little bit like herbs. The tobacco burns very well and cool. The aromatisation is not overwhelming and gives this blend a nice taste. It is not a full aromatic blend. The Casablanca Feeling has a decent aroma between toffee and a bit honey, nuts and maybe herbs.Sometimes I think it tastes like a Lakeland aromatic without the scentet character. The tobacco and the aromatisation are teamplayer. It`s a good team! The Casablanca Feeling is a bit introverted, but I like it much more than a blend which cries out loud. I like it the whole day - it`s a blend to get hooked on.

No revolution - but genial ballanced

Really recommented

Smoking now:

From a sample bag. Broken apart pieces that smell sweetened and toned down the Virginia aroma. A get a big whiff of honey. Packs and lights with ease.

So the taste isn’t so much a sweetened Virginia as it is a slightly flavored Virginia. The Virginia is earthy, bread, dark sweetness. There’s a topping that I can’t place, it’s NOT herbal or floral like a Lakeland blend. Almonds, liquor, or some spice. It all does has a creamy aspect to it and makes this blend standout. The retrohale is where it comes though. There’s a creamy almond, not quite vanilla, but a vegetative herbal note. Along the lines of deer tongue but not as strong. It’s nice. No complaints. No bite or mouth tingle and the after taste is short and mild. A nice sweet flavorful “aromatic”.
