I've only smoked this a couple of times, a friend of mine was trying it out in his quest to smoke every Dunhill blend ever made. I found it pleasant enough but it seems to me that the quest to find an aromatic that isn't too sweet, burns cleaner, or doesn't bite is fruitless. A blend like Captain Black is cheap, smells good and doesn't bite, and can be modified to be drier (most tobacconists have a version of this type anyway and call it something else) so to pay any kind of premium for tinned aromatic only makes sense if it's truly special. I think this gives Dunhill smokers the option of having an aromatic, and it does that well, it smell and tastes good, and while not exciting, isn't bad at all.

To me this Aromatic was very average & offered no excitement at all.I have enjoyed many other Aromatic's far more & there are plenty out there that are much better. 1 star out of 4.

Like many who prefer non-aromatics, I have tried a few aromatics just to see if I could find one I could live with for smoking around other people. This tobacco has a good flavor and aroma, definitely leaning towards toasted black flakes. My problem with this tobacco, and I've had this problem with other Dunhills, is that it tears up my throat. I've only smoked one other tobacco that was this harsh on my throat and it was a strong perique blend.
