Cornell & Diehl Founding Fathers
(2.74)
A delightful aromatic blend of burleys and black cavendish infused with the flavor of pomegranate, an exotic fruit originally from the middle East that was a particular favorite in the 18th Century and found growing on the grounds of Mt. Vernon, Monticello and around the homes of other Founding Fathers.

This tobacco burned incredibly well and required very few relights. The pomegranate flavoring was fairly noticeable and at times a bit overpowering, causing a little bitterness. There were some notes of cream, nuts, and a bit of earth and pepper.

taste of burly and cavendash, with a sweet fruit taste not too overwheelming but just right smooth a all day smoke

A simple aromatic with a great sweet/tart taste . Burns cool and dry with an amazing room note.

Tin note: something chocolatey, not really getting pomegranate. Smoke: also chocolate, and some mild influence from the burley. Mildly sweet and tart, almost a suggestion of fruit. This is fine, but I'd probably always rather smoke Missouri Meerschaum's Great Dane, which has a somewhat similar but strictly better flavor profile in my mind. The only thing this has going for it over Great Dane is a sweet/tart aspect, which is kind of nice. I could see someone enjoying this blend quite a bit; to be honest, so do I, and I'll happily smoke the rest of my stock.
