There's a touch of honey and a little grass from the lighter cavendish, and a drop or two of vanilla from the black cavendish. The tobaccos are sublimated by the toppings. The vanilla topping is very mildly applied, and well supports the maple as a back ground player. The maple is mild. Smooth and creamy with a consistent flavor that doesn't weaken or flash off toward the finish as some aromatic toppings do, though the tobaccos show up just a smidgeon more in the last quarter. Low on nicotine. Requires few relights, won't bite, and leaves very little moisture in the bowl as it burns to ash. An all day, very comfortable smoke that is easily repeatable without boring your senses. Has a very pleasant after taste and the room note will make you some friends you didn't even know you had.

Flavored black cavendish often tastes thin and a little musty to me. This makes a lot of black cavendish based aromatics a little "meh" for my palate. Either Uhle uses a different black cavendish or the flavorings are different in this blend. This is a very good mild aromatic with minimal nicotine.

It is slightly sweet without much tobacco flavor. The sweet is hard to nail, but it might be honey or a quality of the maple. The vanilla and maple are a light touch and don't overpower or cloy.

I could easily see someone liking this as an all-day mild aromatic tobacco. It was an easy smoke and came at a reasonable level of moisture for smoking. The problem is in price and distribution. Out of state, it is over $50 a pound.

I am truly surprised that no one has reviewed House of Uhle yet as it is a Maple flavored blend which are so popular plus taking into account Uhle's is known for their top shelf Burley and Aromatics is, again.... surprising.. Anyhoo, HOU tastes very much like a much milder Peterson Hyde Park without the slight floral Lakeland aroma. What I mean is anyone who has had Autumn Evening knows that the Maple used in that blend is very strong and aromatic whereas HOU, Wilke Maple and McClelland Townsman Cavendish all have a much more restrained Maple taste. It is very nice with a hint of Vanilla, the Cavendish's used are tasty and not overbearing. I see various shades of brown with some black thrown in and arrived at a perfect humidity to go right into my cob. I much prefer Black Stoker from Uhle's but recommend HOU to beginners and anyone that enjoys MILD aromatics with little to no nicotine. The room note was rated by my family as fantastic!
