Disappointing indeed. Bad taste and feels nothing at all. I really tried to enjoy it, took my time... waited for a few days ... But nothing changed at all. It felt like smoking .. well... hollow.

Usually, I prefer an aromatic and this is one of the few non-aromatic I have tried. Major disappointment. Zero taste or the word flat comes to mind. The smell in the tin was great along with the cut. Very cool and definitely no bite along with no tatse...

Taste is mild and leave a fantastic room note. If you looking a mild, smooth tobacco (very mild). It's would be good choice for you.

The smell in the tin reminds me of Davidoff's red mixture only with a hint of cream. A pleasant and light smoke with little tongue bite.

I am new to pipe smoking and this blend was recommended to me as a starter.

I'll say this for it, it certainly IS cool smoking.

Even when I was improperly packing my bowl during my first attempts it still burned with little 'hot tongue' and smoked easily.

But overall I'd throw it out if I weren't so cheap. Really.

I mean the aromatics are almost undetectable and the underlying tobacco is so mild I get little taste from it either.

The next step down in mildness would be to just not smoke at all.

Like I said, I'm a novice here. But of the six blends I've exposed myself to over the past month this was hands down the most disappointing.

The Blue Mixture is a mild blend with some fig and light sweetness. I gave some to a new pipe smoker and they enjoyed the mild flavors and to me is a good beginner smoke.

I enjoy this blend in the morning and goes well with coffee.

If you are looking for a medium blend this is not for you. It is mild and delicate, with a pleasant finish. Some have described it as flat, however, I keep in mind the palates of many who are put off by very strong flavors. I often find these mild blends to be a study in subtle tasting and learning the fine notes.

I don't usually like fruit blends. When I opened the sample pack I liked what I saw and smelled. The vanilla caramel and fruit was a great combination. The tobacco was a broken flake and I thought the smoke tasted pretty good. The tobacco tended to burn a little warm though.

Opening the tin, there is a pleasant aroma that is lost in the bowl. This is clearly made of high quality tobacco, but nothing stands out with this tobacco. As with my experience with all Davidoff products. They are all overpriced and undeserving of any long drawn out review. I will simply say this if you want an outstanding tobacco spend your money on a tin of Peterson's Irish whiskey or if you like something mild, Peterson's Connoisseur's Choice, which will leave this tobacco in the tin forgotten about...

Update: Upon smoking more and more of this tobacco, I have actually really began to like it! This is really a good aromatic with a nice flavor and mild nicotine content. I will purchase a tin of this again in the future, though it won't be constantly in my rotation.
