It's a good everyday smoke, nothing overpowering it has a slighty sweet grassyness and an acceptable room note . I will definitely come back to this in the future.

Pliable flakes permit my fold and pack technique. A mild, cool smoke without bite or condensation. An alternative to Stokkebe Luxury Twist Flake with similar grassy tastes but @ ~ pricing in bulk, I'll stay with LTF.

Virginia Slices is a good bulk VA. Once jarred and left for 6 months opening it I could smell grass/hay notes, very earthy, slightly nutty, and a faint spicy note that reminds me a little of red pepper. The taste is simple but overall very nice. Notes of hay are out front for me, a little citrus note, slightly zesty, mildly earthy, with a woodsy note and a slight hint of that red pepper like spice note comes and goes on occasion. I also get a slight honey and orange flavor that I suspect is a very light topping that comes and goes throughout the bowl. Not overly sweet at this point but at times a note of sweetness comes through. This one is easy to recommend but not complex enough or big enough otherwise to earn the 4th star. Nic is very mild the finish is rather short and I enjoyed this a lot as my first bowl of the day in the mornings or as a mid afternoon smoke now that the weather is warming up. Because it is so mild I doubt that it will benefit from long term aging but it might sweeten a little over the short term. I will more than likely revisit this one at some point as it does fit well as a warm weather smoke.

So this a very easy smoke, i found it mild or les than that, has a good scent and taste, but nothing develops from there, nothing evolves. I found it mild and a bit boring and a bit too young. But good quality virginia for mixtures. Two and a half stars if fresh, there stars if jarred a few months and even more for mixes.

A well behaved flake tobacco. Mild one dimensional flavor of pure Virginia tobacco. The flavor reminds me a little of anise and leaves a pleasant aftertaste. Flake burns well with the method of your choice, folded or rubbed out. Produces lots of smoke and burns to the bottom of the bowl with little attention. Room note is barely noticeable (according to my wife.) Priced right and worth adding to your rotation.

I enjoyed this. A solid Virginia flake that is quite a value. With as much Bright Va as this flake is composed, I expected a more citrus sweet experience, but the sweetness in this blend is more subdued and the depth of flavor in this one is quite full to my tastes.

I would compare this more to SG FVF than I would to GH Bright CR; the latter of which is more akin to my expectations. However, I do not think it is as good as FVF, but at the price and availability, it will certainly do in a pinch. This also performs as well as FVF IMO.

This is a good Virginia when fresh but definitely needs some age to really shine. When its fresh it tastes a little green and immature. Has some decent sweetness and hay flavors. Very earthy for a bright straight Virginia. I usually let mine sit for a few months before I am really able to fully enjoy it. After 2+ years it is exceptional. Retains the bright flavors but deepens in flavor and complexity.

It comes in beautiful flakes cut into long and wide strips, similar to Reiner's famous Blend 71. When cold, they have a pleasant aroma of Virginia tobacco, with just enough humidity to load directly from their container. It burns very well.

The flavor is typical of bright virginia hay, soft and light, with acid and citrus touches, quite spicy, more on the dry side than on the sweet side, although a slight sweetness is also sometimes appreciated. I have recently acquired it and although it is a young tobacco, I am already enjoying it. It reminds a bit of the yellow Capstan, although I like this 507 better.

I'll let it age about six months, as recommended around here, and will check it again. Then I will see if I raise another star or keep the three with which I rate it now.

Update 09/05/2021: the people here were right and seven months later this tobacco has gotten tastier. I leave pending the possible rise of a star for when the tin ends.

Natural flavor, easy rubbing and burning. Not a complex, but a pleasing, taste. Very surprisingly sweet and mild. These slices are thin and lengthy, and it's not really even necessary to rub them out at all. They could just be stuffed into the pipe right out of the bag.
