Walked into the local tobacconist and asked them to recommend a good straight VA blend that I hadn't had before and WASN'T a flake. I'm a little tired of fussing around with flakes. They pointed me at Trullerie.
Tin note is very nice, sweetness of the Virginias and a bit of fruit and honey. The tobacco is a ribbon cut and packs and lights easily. It will burn hot if you aren't careful, but I didn't experience any biting. Flavor is consistent throughout the bowl with a nice, natural Virginia sweetness and also a good bit of tanginess. I really like this a lot and for me it comes close to a perfect Virginia blend. 3.5 stars.

Such a sweet smell when I opened the tin! Not an artificial gooey sweet, with unnatural flavoring. But a kind of fruity, tobaccoey sweetness which I liked very much! It packs very good, but it burns a little hot. No tongue bite though, and a very smooth smokey smoke. I was in Budapest and found this little pipe and cane shop and I just asked the owner which was his favourite tobacco, and he gave me this. Blow it out your nose and smell the niceness! Love it!

Vauen - Trullerie.
The blend's composed of light and medium brown, quite coarse, ribbons, with a tiny amount of dark ones. When fresh the hydration's fine to smoke but it wouldn't do for cellaring; a touch too dry. The unlit aroma's one of sprightly, very sweet, Virginia.
The overriding flavour from Trullerie is honey-sweet, with a lesser amount of Virginia hay and tang. The smoke's quite light in build so it's not a blend where an open window's expedient to placate any tobacco haters in the room! Although I find the taste agreeable enough something which doesn't sit well is the heat and speed: it isn't the hottest but can burn fast if not savoured. The nicotine's quite mild, so might not suit a hard-core N fan!
Trullerie? It's not an egregious monstrosity(!) but boredom comes to the fore in a short amount of time. Somewhat recommended:
Two stars.

Open the box feels a velvety sweetness, and sweetness are the same when you smoke but much less pronounced. Without much feeling, perhaps a bit too flat as the taste to be composed predominantly of Virginia. I expected better. It is true, warms up quickly enough, which makes it difficult to appreciate. However it seems that the quality of tobacco use is high. I personally do not try anymore.

Got it as a free sample from Niemeyer in Germany when I bought 2 Vauen Minni's and I am really liking this a lot. I dont think I can get this in the US but be it as it may I really enjoyed it. Simple slightly sweet but also nutty straight VA, smokes and lights easy and can be smoked w/o paying much attention to it. As others said: I noticed this as well: it does get really HOT in a hurry but not an issue for me as I smoke very slowly. It must be the thin leaves and the relatively dry blend. If you like an uncomplicated nutty tasting VA w/o the typical danish sauce over the top of it, this will do the job and will do it well.
