Brigham Enterprises Inc. Cambridge Blend
(3.33)
A very sophisticated blend of African, Turkish, Virginia, and latakia tobaccos. Blended so that the latakia does not overwhelm the blend resulting in a very smooth English blend.

Well to find out Brigham has this surprising English blend on offer here in Canada made me very happy. Usually finding a good English blend here is having to search for products that are oftentimes out of stock. Luckily we have the interweb to purchase online from fine retailers in the US.
Back to Brigham Cambridge blend, this is made in the US (MacBarren I think?), and compared to Petersons, Dunhills, Comoy, Rattray's and other Euro English blends, this is very comparable, and the real surprise is how very easy going & light of a smoke it is.
The other thing is that most English blends I smoke have people around me asking what the heck I'm puffing on? English blends tend to have a bit more present of a room note, and some find it a tad overwhelming. But this one is borderline aromatic in it's room note. The tin note if like a good whisky, robust with earthy, woodsy notes, but when lit, smokes so smooth, giving off an awesome white cloud, rich and thick, whit that pleasant room note I mentioned. Surprising!
Smoking this is a story in itself, as the blend is a mix of coarse pieces and nice ribbon, it packs somewhat oddly, and you need to take constant puffs as you pack to ensure and even, not to tight draw once lit. The tobacco is fairly dry out of the tin, so it can be packed right away, and I rarely need a second light, as it seems my charring light is enough to get this going right down to the bottom. Fluffy white ash is left, and this is the easiest cleaning tobacco I smoked thus far.
And it's an inexpensive English blend, which makes this even more pleasurable to smoke and stock up in the cellar. Enjoy!
