If you like Orlik Golden Sliced you have to give Orlik Racing Green a try. Some have said Grapefruit, I say Guava/Custard Bread Pudding, You say......

The tin note is Citrus/Guava with a custard creaminess in the background that does transfer to the smoke. However the topping fades in and out and is never cloying. The Tobacco is very high quality, the Virginia's really push the sweetness in this blend and the burley gives the smoke some body. The cavendish? Well..... I don't know what the hell the cavendish does.

About half way through the bowl, I suggest putting your pipe down for an hour or two. The Burley is BAM! IN YOUR FACE GOOD. For some reason when DGT'd the burley really stands out. When you smoke it straight to the heel of the bowl(which it really does smoke to a white ash with no doddle)Racing Green gets sweeter, almost developing a Marshmallow Circus Peanut flavor. In fact the pipe smells like Circus Peanuts when the bowl is cashed.

Racing Green is ready to smoke out of the tin, it behaves like a Lakeland blend, with its high quality tobacco. I must say outside of Lakeland Blends, Racing Green is the only "Aromatic" that I would smoke on a regular basis.

Great Summer Blend to add to your rotation between the Va/Pers and Straight Virginias.

This is a light, Va forward aromatic that is rounded out by some Burley and Cavendish. It is gently sweet with a pleasant room note. It actually gets better as it burns down the bowl. The topping is subtle, and quickly disappears into the tobacco aromas. All in all a very smooth and refreshing experience. These seem to me very high quality tobaccos. Suits a lazy sunny afternoon in the garden with a cold lager.

A real surprise. “Racing Green”? What? Castrol 90W topping? Menthol? I think I bought it just because I was ordering some Golden Sliced and wanted to try something different. I stuffed it in a cob just to putter around the garage. I couldn’t stop smoking it.

This is something of a high-end “codger’s blend”, a “burley and bright” for sophisticates. As one reviewer said, it is mostly Golden Sliced but with a little added sweetness from the Cavendish and whatever topping is being used. Every now and then the Malawi will really come through and put me in mind of Peterson’s 3Ps. But where that blend is a serious nicotine punch in the face and an absolute bear to prepare, this is a “stuff and go” pleasure: uncomplicated but not boring, easy to light, easy to keep lit. Good natural tobacco taste, a “that pipe smells good” rating from the audience and no lingering funk in your pipe or your mouth. May replace “Best Brown Flake” as my favorite summer smoke.

It can be an interesting blend for non aromatic fans. Cavendish is unnoticeably low in this baccy. Lemon and spice are the main characters. Not so complex and the taste does not vary a lot. An easy-to-go blend. It was very humid when I got it. I opened the tin and leave it aside for a year. Didn't even try when it was extremely humid. Still after 12 months, it's not yet dried. I am satisfied

I was honestly not expecting much from Racing Green. But it has not only exceeded my expectations; it is, in fact, an ideal all day smoke for someone looking for a tobacco that's easy to pack, doesn't require attention to enjoy it and has enough nicotine to keep one happy. The moisture content was perfect. Frankly, I can't say this is an aromatic, by all means; and I can understand the comparison to Golden Sliced with some Cavendish added. It has the typical sweet virginia taste with some hay notes. It burns very well but don't puff away too fast because, being mostly golden virginias, it can bite if you push it. 3 stars and, yes, I am going to buy more.

A mostly Virgina blend with a bit of Burly and Cavendish thrown in. The tin note was citrus. Mine was dry when I opened it, but I packed a bowl and gave it a try. Lights easily and burns well. The Virginia was most prevalent, but the citrus/vanilla casing was a nice complement to the tobacco. I am not usually one to smoke Danish-type tobacco, but this one was an exception. I found it to be an enjoyable break for the predominantly cav blends that I smoke. For best results, sip it. I personally would not consider this an all-day smoke
