It starts out like a wonderful chocolate Hershey bar but then gets that moldy taste to it. Smells wonderful but the topping doesn't agree with me.

As is the case with most of DB's aromatics this is exactly as advertised. Dark chocolate deliciousness, easy to smoke, no bite. Acquired from the B&M on Route 22.

I got this as a sample and it was good. A flavorful aromatic, with a hint of vanilla and some sweet under notes. It burns nicely from the tin, no bite as the name suggest. My only issue is it is so simipar to Boswell's Best. As an introduction to aromatics or those who always get tongue bite, i will recomment this blend. It is worth a try along with Boswell's Best or Piper's Plesaure.

Throwing out the final curtain call on this series, let us delve into a closer examination of one of the best-selling Boswell house aromatics. Solid wisdom foretells never to bite off more than you can feasibly chew. By doing so the aforementioned tenet of experiential learning might prove to be a bit overwhelming. Yet, bringing current matters into perspective, when there is no bite in return, a fair suggestion is that your probability for success is much more achievable.

Given that comforting assurance, please assent to JM Boswell’s No Bite Delite, a popular mild-medium entry of solid Virginian and assorted Cavendish strains. This thickly mixed cut of luscious, smoke-ready ebon and golden tobaccos is smartly doused in an immersion of brandy, caramel, and coffee, or at least according to TobaccoReviews.com. However, upon testing this mixture, I do have a few qualifying bones to pick concerning that published notice.

Principally, irrefutable evidence within the forward pouch aroma indicates a high-spirited blast of rich cocoa/dark chocolate as a present and all-powering element. Just behind this boldness lies an orderly run of warmer sugary caramel, supported by a dark embittered coffee-like odor, as the tell-tale confirmation of the scripted recipe’s listing. Further sweetening this glazy characterization, I did denote a tiny impression of some well contained vanilla softly circulating about as well. Getting past this coating-centric nose, the registration meagerly yields a muffled hint of plain tartness, generally sweet Virginian wood, and a fleeting pass of citrusy tang.

Much like the fragrance, at first lighting, the buttery complex of taste demonstrates a clean note of dense cocoa/chocolate unleashing itself with unqualified assertiveness. Coming in forward accompaniment, just about a half step behind, the featuring of baked caramel goodness wraps itself around nicely, as it brings a lightly tinted accent of minor vanilla-nougat sugar. Amid the low-middle tier, a flavorsome tone of roasted coffee surfaces in a well concealed manner, perceivably easily missed in the fusion of the two stronger additives.

In essence, a delicious chocolate-caramel preeminence riding on a consistent bottom of Red Virginia defines No Bite Delite’s standard persona. And although the chocolate does perform as the hands-on master for the initial third of the bowl, it does eventually relax to a more complementing intensity, finding proper balance as the caramel’s strength tends to realize renewed brilliance.

Now in regard to the listed brandy ingredient, perhaps it is there or perhaps it is not. Either way, nothing distinguishable was discovered resulting from repetitive sessions. At best, I did record a dark fruity spice and a modest degree of zest especially on the retro-hale but do attribute those to the confluence of the Virginian and the Cavendish more so than to any alcohol-based additive. In a word, I am highly skeptical if brandy inclusion is to be found within the current recipe. Could be misled, who’s to say?

Like many aromatics, No Bite Delite’s stylish coatings tend to taper considerably at the approximate halfway point, leaving just a sweetened caramelized ghosting of their former selves. In this transition, the pleasing savor of the native tobaccos, therefore, is allowed to progress more deeply and fully in registerable presence. By my accounting, the Red Virginia varietal continues to show unquestionable supremacy with a projection of sweet wood that is gingerly seasoned by a dash of pleasant vegetal spice.

Furthermore, the influence of the Bright is candidly reserved, showing as a nice secondary complement. This leaf endows a cajoling tanginess, aged raisin, and an occasional flash of a hardy citrus hay note. Finally, even though there is an ample volume of Cavendish within this particular mixture, its role is that of a flavor facilitator, as these strains tender only certain basic charred, smoky wood embellishments.

One thing of absolute truth is that the spent room essence evoked by the smoking of No Bite Delite presents itself as a most courtly companion. Growing up as I did, a grade school companion’s family operated a local homemade candy shop. As a young boy, spending time inside their store experiencing the heavenly smell of chocolate caramels in the making, was a gratifying sensation that I will long remember. This tobacco’s creamy, delectable fragrance throws me back to those fondest of memories. Most assuredly pleasant to a wider crowd.

And in final, Boswell’s creation lives up truthfully to its namesake, as there is surely no bite which is splendidly delightful! Burning consistently with well-tempered heat, flawless moisture, and smoothness of texture, No Bite Delite presents a mellow light-hearted excursion that centers one comfortably appeased by its inherently sweetened goodness. If in fact, I have successfully enticed you to explore its unknown grandeur, then bully for you my friend, let the learning begin! In trying this noteworthy aromatic, unquestionably, you will be the wiser. 3.3 Pipes

Funny it's called No Bite Delight. I've never had a Boswell's blend that bit me before. Like I expected from Boswell's, you can actually taste the chocolate and caramel, and I highly doubt anyone will be complaining about the room note. Great blend.

No Bite Delite has my 3 favorite things in life.

Alcohol Candy Coffee.

The Virginia is a long, stringy shag-type cut while the cavendish is large, unpackable chunks. I spend a few minutes on my 2 oz pouch chopping the cavendish into more manageable pieces. This is one of the only Boswell blends that leave my fingers feeling sticky. No worries.....

Again, another great all day, crowd pleasing, no biting, unobtrusive concoction from Boswell. The coffee is more noticeable in the pouch than on the palate. The caramel is added just right to offer superb sweetness balanced with the coffee and slight brandy. I'm pleased to add another 4 star to No Bite Delite!!!

I tried a sample of No Bite Delight this morning and was surprise to see this was an aromatic when I read a few reviews today. I should have know this, but was so caught up in the taste of the Virginia, I thought it was just a VA blend. I seem to like most types of tobacco however and would really recommend this one. Easy to smoke, great taste and smell, and paired perfectly wit the French roast coffee I was drinking. I will smoke this blend all day today and update my review if I feel differently at the end of the day, do not anticipate this however as I enjoyed this so much on my drive in smoke today.

Smells very sweet from the bag. Definitely caramel and sometimes whiffs of vanilla and hints of fruit. It smokes just as sweet as it smells. Wonderful room note and it's name delivers...no tongue bite, unless you have to relight (which may be the case if you don't let it dry just a tad before smoking). A great aromatic that also tastes like tobacco. Great job Boswells!!!

No Bite is certainly a Delite! Love the caramel taste and tootsie roll room note. Don't take my word or the other reviews, call Boswell's and order for yourselves. It's really good. As for "bite", I tred Chonging the hell outta my pipe and not so much as a tingle! Crazy good and fun to smoke!

No bite delite.... Challenge accepted! What an enjoyable mix from this tobacco. The aroma presented was pleasurable, and the smoke well kinda had some fun with this one. I normally will sip sip sip any fine aromatic but with this one it was smoked hard in big gulps. To my delite no tongue bite really was a fun smoke and very enjoyable and really a highly recommended smoke for any novice pipe smokers and should be seen in any expert pipe smokers collection as well. Boswells still has proven to me a solid company making solid aros.
