One of the few bulk C&D's tobacs I have enjoyed. Think Frog Morton Across the Pond "Light". I am always looking for that "change-of-pace" surprise and this one is worthwhile. An occasional indulgence. It is also light on the Latakia which suits me fine. Three and one quarter stars.

This blend is an eclectic mix of tobacco cuts and sizes. Thin ribbons of Red Virginia and Brite leaf, chunks of Latakia and burley. Minimal stems in my 2oz. larger chunks need to be cut/broken up to maximize burning.

The pouch aroma is that of light smoke, some sweetness and leather.

Once the chunks are broken up, this blend loads, lights and packs with ease. Great moisture content makes this blend ready to smoke on arrival.

Initial lighting is on par with most C&D blends. light/tamp/light and you're good to go!

The majority of this bowl is burley, can be a bit acrid through the smoke. The Latakia is very muted, but if sipped it comes out occasionally. I think this is due to the huge chunks not getting mix in and broken up to the same level as the other tobaccos. The VA complements the burley quite well with its added sweetness.

The vanilla/caramel is done perfectly with a light hand. It offers just enough sweetness to round out the roughness of the burley. This has been a great early morning blend with my coffee the last week here in SE Michigan. Its been hot during the day, but morning low's in the mid-50's. Pack a midsized bowl, grab my coffee and watch the dogs run around the yard before I go to work.

All in all I think this is good blend, especially for those venturing into light lat blends.

Received this one in a sample pack of C&D offerings sent from my friends who operate a tobacco shop in TX. As the weather has become cooler going into winter now, I have really been enjoying this blend. It is a lightly aromatic English style blend and the flavoring is unlike any aromatic I have yet tried, a salted caramel sweetness. The caramel pairs very nicely with the smokiness of the Latakia. The blend burns cool and dry, and the overall flavor is very smooth. Conclusion, a great cold weather winter English blend, but not very appealing during the summer.
