Is Pasha’s an aromatic? I would say so, but at the same time it contains all of the elements of an English blend. This is far from the first time I have smoked an aromatic English, but I must say, not one quiet like Pasha’s. I think that this is a love or hate type blend. It may be the first aromatic English blend that I have smoked that utilizes caramel along with Turkish and Latakia. I really didn’t care for Pasha’s at all because for me there are other things that are far better choices in an aromatic English and I don’t find that caramel and Latakia go very well together. Actually, the more bowls I smoked, I found the taste downright nasty. There is a small plus to this blend and that is that it does smoke very smoothly.

Cornell & Diehl - Pasha's Dream.

The mixture includes ribbons, broken flakes, pieces of shag, and a few twigs. It's a fair divide between all of the different colours/varieties, and has a sweet aroma.

The tobacco side of the smoke: I find the Latakia's smokiness quite muted, it's more of a woody flavour. The Kentucky gives a notable flavour, fiery, without being too dominant. The Turkish leaf can be tasted with ease from beginning to end, and forms a higher proportion of the smoke in comparison to the others.

The added flavourings: they give a taste that's mainly sweet, with any vanilla taking the support role. I find the rest of the additives much lesser in weight. There's a very slight alcohol character, but not so much so that it can be quantified as brandy, whiskey, rum, etc..

The burn's quite quick, I've smoked two bowls whilst writing this review. On the plus side, it doesn't bite.

Nicotine: mild to medium. Room-note: tolerable to strong.

Pasha's Dream: I'm not a fan. One star:

Not recommended.

This is another high quality product from C&D, but it just did not appeal to my palate. Appearance: typical English blend with the usual mixture of leaves.

Aroma: caramel, a little vanilla, and of course the usual delicious mustiness of an English blend.

Lighting: very easy, two matches max, topping is dry, no stickiness from the flavoring.

Initial Flavor: English with the toppings not too strong at all.

Mid-Bowl: Still English with the topping receding.

Bottom of bowl: Nice, round finish, no chemical aftertaste. Ash is mootled grey and dry.

Overall: I didn't care for the type of caramel topping in this blend. I much preferred the caramel in Peterson's "Sweet Kilarney". This one sometimes smelled liked old soiled diapers, at other times like caramel. Ther was no chemical aftertaste, and that I much appreciated. I much prefer SG's Perfection over this, but I'm still going to test the other C&D blends in the quest for the "perfect" crossover blend.

Smells similar to CD Sweet English just with less of the caramel butter topping more more of a musty Latakia smell.

There’s a lot going on in the blend and nothing seems to jump out at me. There is a slight spicy quality to this. There’s some Latakia taste but it’s subdued by everything else. The topping is there but again, everything is just too even and hard to pic out in it for me. The spicy aspect of this rather turned me off. This blend sat around and I smoked more of CD Sweet English blend than this. It wasn’t a blend for me. It wasn’t bad it just wasn’t something that stood out for me.
