If you have ever wondered if you clould just buy "shake," this is it. I was expecting a cube cut like PS Cube Cut with no mild topping. These cubes are smaller, and most of mine in the bag had delaminated to produce very small squares of tobacco. Think of a narrow ribbon cut to produce small squares. Pouch note was tobacco goodness and maybe a whiff of cocoa.

I gravity packed this, and there is not really another way to load it. It gave it a firm tamp and it took a match well. It burned cool and without incident, and was easy to keep lit. It had a pleasant earthy taste with a little molasses. It had a little more nicotine than I expected. The smoke was full and smooth.

I can believe the small squares might be a problem for some draft holes, but I did not have a problem with it. There was a slight spiciness in the snork, and it made my gums tingle a little on the clench side. I was smoking this at the office and ran out to use the copier. When I came back, I found the room note quite pleasant.

This is really a premium burley smoke in the same camp as Uhle's 00 and PS Burley 702. There is no topping that I can detect. It packs more of a punch than these cousins, and it has more flavor. I liked it.

This one is easy to recommend to anyone who likes burley.

"white and dark Burleys from Kentucky", cubed. Yes, their description is correct. It's a blender and priced as high as their Red Virginia Cavendish which should indicate their own internal demand for the product.

It may be a blender but sometimes I just want to smoke tobacco without a lot of fuss and without being challenged to fathom the nuances of flavors. This has just good tobacco flavor nothing more, nothing less.

This is the blend I used to enhance Durbar and make it smokeable for me.

Cornell & Diehl - Cube Cut Burley.

I usually have an English or VaPer as my Go-To, but fancied this due to the simplicity of it.

Apart from a few leafy pieces the majority of the blend's made of quite neat, small, cubes. Being supplied in bulk form the loose pouch has allowed any excess moisture to escape.

On to the smoke: it's an unrefined, almost asperous flavour. There's no sweetness, and I wouldn't call it smooth; it's nutty Burley through and through. The current description says "a light pack will reward you with a long smoke", but I find it goes too quick unless it's been packed quite firmly. The temperature of the smoke's medium and it's free from bite for the whole duration.

The room-note's pleasant to tolerable and the nicotine's just above medium.

This is good quality, but I couldn't smoke it on its own regularly.

Three stars.

Burleys it seems always gives me 1heckofabuzz- nothing that will turn me green or make me tired, so i love it. On its own in the bag it smells like cereal (think all bran) Charring brings about very strong scent, the flavor is pretty simple but has huge body. Smoking down the bowl reveals smoky vegetal & oat kind of flavors. For me this is really great on its own. Mildly acrid taste with DGT but that fades quickly enough.

Lately I have been getting tongue bite from trying Virginia blends, and decided to take a turn towards burley blends. Although this wonderful cube cut burley is listed as a blending tobacco, I smoke it straight. A very cool and dry smoke with lots of flavor and no bite at all. Produces a lots of smokes. Pretty easy to light the pipe and keep it lit. I gravity fill my pipe, tamp just a little with the tip of my finger before I light it. Being cube cut, it burns quite slowly. I can easily get an hour smoke from a medium size bowl. The tin note offers loads of nutty and earthy aroma. While smoking the flavors remain consistent throughout the bowl, deep nutty burley taste, with a little sweetness, wood note, and a little spice probably from dark burley. Not an all day smoke for me but I enjoy coming back to it every now and then. Highly recommended for burley lovers. 3 out of 4 stars.

What you see is what you get. White and dark burleys. The smoke is plentiful, mildly sweet with notes of rye bread and dark chocolate. The dark burley provides just a touch of spice. Be careful if you tip your pipe as this tobacco will fall out, and gravity filling the bowl with a light tamp is the order of the day. Smokes cool and leaves the bowl dry. The nicotine content was hardly noticeable. Could easily be an all day smoke.

I rarely smoke this by itself, but it's not that bad alone. Has some burley nuttiness to it. I prefer to use this as a mixing blend for aromatics, giving aromatics a nic hit. Not quite a good of mixer as five brothers, but not bad. If you are looking for an awesome cube cut burley blend, try Crooner!

Of what this currently is, I wouldn't call this cube cut. It's more of a crimp cut. No cubes found at all in my purchase. Every c&d blending tobacco I've tried is not cased, so I expected the same with cube cut. I also had a general idea of what to expect. The bag note is earthy, nutty, a light funkiness with very little sweetness. From beginning to end, the flavors a very cigar like with nuts, cocoa powder, spicy pepper notes, dry earth, leather notes and at times, creamy but almost oily. It does have harshness to it but that was expected. If smoked slowly, the harshness doesn't appear, and the spiciness dies down. Overall it's good. Reminds me of a Padron 1000 series cigar but with no coffee notes. I have added a pinch to other blends with good results. Currently is a 63 dollars a pound, which is steep imo, but it's labor intensive to produce.

Plain, nutty, mild, not unpleasant, not sweet to speak of. The smoke isn't harsh. Not a ton to say aside from that. Another reviewer called this a step up from Prince Albert, and i would disagree in terms of taste and complexity. This isn't interesting in any way, but if you just want to smoke some plain tobacco with an inoffensive taste, or if you're some kind of radical minimalist who hates strong tastes maybe, this is the ticket. Probably an outstanding blending tobacco, but I have no experience with that. It does pack, light and burn incredibly well, and it's got a fair bit of nicotine. It has got PA beat in the nicotine department. There really are no solid cubes in my bag, more very short ribbons/rectangles/squares.

Jar note of mild Acai/spices, mildly sweet, and slightly fruity. Tobacco is a brown/light and brown mix of tiny course cut/pebble cut and cube cut. Tobacco is mostly dry and soft, no drying or prep needed. Burns medium with few relights. The strength is medium and nic is medium. No flavoring detected despite Jar note. Taste is medium and mostly consistent, with notes of very woody, spicy, very dry, tart like bitterness, mildly sour, very toasty, earthy, slight tanginess, a mild sweet nuttiness background note, and a peppery retro. Room note is tolerable, and aftertaste is great.
