Adagio is a nicely varied smoke. It begins as a heavy Perique, drifts into a nice neutral Burley, and ends with lots of Turkish flavor. It is not at all sweet. Like other C&D premium tobaccos, it is of quality: good burn, no humectants, good ingredients, easy light, dry ash. I don't prefer it because I am not fond of the Perique hit at the start, but if you like Perique and Turkish, this blend should be right up your alley. As with Old Hollywood, there is no disputing the quality of the blend. It's just a matter of whether or not you like the taste(s). A worthy offering.
Update: This blend is just too spicy for me to enjoy on a regular basis. As the estimable Pipestud has mentioned, if you like LARGE doses of Perique, Adagio is right up your alley. I won't be ordering any more, though.
