Cube is an interesting modern style and full aromatic, with a heavy, yet alluring top note of peach brandy/schnapps and butterscotch, erring on the side of toasted marshmallow. It makes an incredibly bold statement in pouch and room note and if you like your cased aromatics to taste like their descriptions, then you might find something in Cube to arrest your attention.
To a degree, the sheer level of casing renders the quality of the leaf rather redundant, with the mixture having a prepensity to smoke a little flat and airy, despite the wealth of tobaccos utilised. You'll be sure to find richer tasting Virginia and Cavendish in other blends, but get to the mid bowl and those Burleys start to pep things up with a welcome appearance. Sidestream and nose is particularly noteworthy, with a fruity sweetness that permeates the room and lingers long.
Cube is way too sweet to smoke all day as the flavouring is pretty intrusive; the tobacco itself largely uninspiring, but it's a nice time-out from more traditional blends, particularly in these summer months. It's certainly not the life-changer Mac Baren marketed it as, but then I'm prepared to tip my hat to them for a marked imagination and effort in trying to create something with modern appeal - a tobacco for the Noughties, if you will. Even if you don't like noveau tobacco, it stands the industry in good stead, and whereas the old blends will always be timeless classics, I welcome consumer choice as a very good thing indeed.
CORRECTION & END NOTE: Contrary to a posting below, Cube IS readily available to purchase in box form in the UK. As was previously mentioned, it's also available for sale as 25g+ loose weight, here in England.

To put it bluntly, I felt as if I was smoking urine soaked paper.

I will try my best to be kind...
This smells wonderful. I was drawn by the fruty burleyish smell and was sold.
Smoked a little hot (figured out why MB's nickname is Mac Bite) and gurgled some too. This wasn't even the biggest turn off, though it didn't help.
But the worst thing was this stuff left my mouth feeling completely DRY. I had never ever experienced it before, and hopefully never will, but gave it another bowl.
Result: same thing. Dry as a desert.
Just stay away, there is better tobacco, plain and simple.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, this thing has chemicals out the wazoo... yet another reason to steer clear from Cube.

Thoroughly nasty, from false light to the point at which I emptied my bowl into the garbage. This is not why I took up the noble briar. Flavour-wise it is almost a joke. No detectable tobacco taste in it for me, and I felt almost instantly nauseous.
A stark contrast to many of the other Mac Baren aromatics, which I rather like.
Never again.

I dont know where people are getting the fruity flavours from as all i can smell and taste is something that resembles "worthers original" a buttery caramely toffee taste, very distintive and stays there all the way through the smoke, love it, also the room note (im told) is also very pleasent. This has never bit me and burns smooth and cool. Not an all day smoke but one best suited to an evening after dinner desert enjoyed with a cup of creamy coffee, mmmm. It doesnt do much for the nicotine side but for someone who smokes simply for the taste, its a winner, if you like "worthers originals" of course but who doesnt? I give it 3 out of 4 simply because it doesnt have enough nicotine for me.

This tobacco in my humble opinion, is a pure disaster and failure! Trying to mix different types of Cavendish and other tobaccos (I think I felt dark Virginia), simply failed. Too aromatic, boring, and what you have Mac Baren would not dare allow - burning tongue! Even me, I am a pipe smoker for over 30 years. Price for 100 grams is definitely too high. One word - disaster!

Another decent pipe tobacco from the Dane house of MB. The leaf is good quality and th casing is a very welldone mixture of toffee / caramel. No tongue bite here. Flavour is delicate and room note is good. A pleasant smoke for sure. Not goopy like other aromtic blends out there. Far better than the Honey and Chocolate blend that MB has also released. I would recommend this one to those fellow pipesmokers who enjoy a sweeter taste and smell now and then. In time, my fave MB blend is HH Syrian Latakia, this one is a true masterpiece.

The mechanics and results of smoking this blend were all ok...I expected more. Perhaps, it is only that I am wondering how much of my $$$s went to the packaging rather than the tobacco. Always looking for one best aromatic and this is not it.
