Peterson Connoisseur's Choice
(3.06)
A satisfying, spicy and aromatic blend of black cavendish, golden and red Virginias, mixed with luxury broken flake. The aromatic recipe of tropical fruit, maple, vanilla & rum make this blend smooth and very pleasant.

One of my first tobaccos an have never looked back. I will always have this one available as its just an amazing taste with most people getting the vanilla first then the chocolate after but with the aftertaste of rum! 9/10 the 9 is because i think there should be a slightly stronger chocolate element

Really satisfying blend for aromatics lovers. Smell from the tin is heavenly sweet, not chemical and not overwhelming the tobacco taste when smoked. Packs a little bit tricky because of broken flakes mixed in this blend. Off course it's not a problem if you'll break it into desired size pieces. Burns and stays lit well. Obviously not for virginia or english smokers.

Smokes like it smells. Burns well but needs a re light from time to time. Not to wet and gloopy in the pipe. Little dottle mostly white ash. Smoke is full and creamy with sweet fruity taste. Nic levels on the mild end but not lacking. This is a high quality aromatic blend with the usual petersons quality base.
Sweet fruity with some but mild tobacco flavours. The flavour lasts full bowl. To a new smoker with a new pipe take care as a fresh tin can burn a little hot. If you ate more used to the pipe then it will give little trouble.
I smoke this blend a lot when I have a sweet tooth. Bagpipers dream is more purfume but just as good IMHO. Sunday fantasy very simlar but not so strong a flavour.
All in a very creamy thick easy smoke. Taste is as is start to finish with a mild rise in tobacco flavour in the last third. If you like Aromatic tobacco try this. No soapy or chemical taste here.
Four stars and well worth a purchace.

I am with The Conde on this; of the many aromatics I have smoked , this one struck an extraordinary note in the tine, in the bowl, and with the Mrs.

Delicious, mild aromatic with tobacco that does not bite and has a lingering sweetness. Hints of maple in the air and on the tongue. Needs a bit of drying. Few re-lights.

I seem to be joining this review quite late, years, in fact, or so it seems, but better late than never. As a side note, I took up pipe smoking while stationed in Germany in the late 1960's, then quit for some 40 years until just recently. I love aromatics, and this blend from Peterson's is one of my favorites. Unlike other reviewers, I've not encountered bite nor any hint of blandness while smoking it. It smells wonderful in the tin and I think it transfers to the bowl better than most that I've tried. As with other tobaccos I use (currently W.O. Larsen limited editions from 2016 and 2017, and Mac Baren's 7 Seas Regular), I, too, will let it dry out for 10 minutes or so before lighting it up. So, all in all, a very enjoyable, full and flavorful smoke, especially at the beginning and/or end of the day.

Okay so I'm new to pipes, actually new to any type of smoking so bringing a pipe home and actually smoking it was a surprise to everyone in the family. I'm going to be brief as I'm no expert but I would like to recommend connoisseurs Choice to anyone who is getting used to smoking a pipe and looking for something that will also please the noses of those around him while he finds his feet in this massive lovely world of tobacco.
I loved it from the minute I opened the can. The smell is...well let's just say yummy. It lights easily enough, especially for beginners this will help. It tastes great, not to strong so won't leave you dizzy and as I said you will get massive amounts of compliments from those around you.
As I said I'm no expert but I love Connoisseurs Choice and it has made smoking my pipe alot of fun and something I've started to look forward to after a hard days work.
Highly recommended.

This is one of my favourite aromatics and I have smoked it for years. It has a fruity pleasant flavour, which is distinct. Would recommend this old favourite to anyone who likes aromatics.

Vanilla and rum seem to be the flavors that jump out at me. I do get some citrus fruity flavors at times. This is really sweet and easy smoking. I tend to smoke strong natural flavored tobacco so I use this when I want a change of pace. It can burn hot at times and bite if you puff hard on it so be careful. When I first opened the tin it was quite moiste so drying time is needed. This is low on nicotine so don't expect a buzz from this. I really like this tobacco and will always keep a tin at hand.
