A nice, smooth, aromatic blend for all occasions. Easy to pack and light, doesn't require a lot of relights and can be smoked all the way to the bottom with no problems, even without emptying the ash when smoked in a large bowl.
What makes this one especially appealing to me is that, unlike many other aromatics that I've smoked, it is not overly sweet. The vanilla and fruits offer the expected sweetness, but then there's the rum that counterbalances it with a nice spiciness. There's also quite a bit of nuttiness to the taste, so that makes this sweet, spicy and nutty. Also, unlike other aromatics with multiple flavors added, in this one all the flavors can be detected, making it a very pleasant, enjoyable smoke. Finally, the flavor is consistent throughout the bowl. A top-class aromatic blend from Peterson.

One time of this only, so limited experience, but this was enough for me to think this could be easily be an all day smoke. Further smoking really is required, but undoubtedly a good smoke from start to finish. Like all aeros needs some drying, and a slow smoke, but a lovely mix none the less.

Very satisfying aromatic tobacco indeed, good smell, balanced taste, easy to smoke... Perfect choice for aromatic fans. Once you open the tin, the promising fruity smell really fills your nerves and after a few puffs the taste accomplishes the pleasure.

I was introduced to CC in Dublin at the Peterson pipe/tobac shop some time ago by a kindly old gent ... it’s a gem.... I’ve been a pipe smoker for 40+ yrs & find the CC an everyday choice, along with the Mac Barens Symphony...the fruity aro is pure sensual in taste & aroma, I pack it moderate to light & attempt to “sip” & prolong the smoking pleasure, thus avoiding any B I T E, which occurs if one draws too hard or frequently...this is an aro to be savored.....

It was my first Peterson blend that I bought when I got into pipe smoking. Being relatively new, I was still trying out aromatics. Although I have now moved away from aromatics, I always keep a tin of this blend just in case I want a change of pace from my usual flakes.
Its quite light and fruity, but in a very pleasant way. Its the type of blend you'd smoke if you're doing work in the garden, or in the workshop, when you just finished a bowl of something stronger and just wanted to smoke something just to keep your mouth and palate busy.
A pleasant and enjoyable smoke.

Wow, THIS is an aromatic. I have never felt this impression with any other one of the kind.
For me, this one reminds me of the oriental "shisha"-like tastes - although there was of course no rum in them. Opening the tin, a full oriental perfume comes to my nostrils, which reminds me of my many years in Egypt.
Altogether, I use this tobacco scarcely, because I reserve it for great moments: a great book, a great film, a long thinking, seated in a sofa. It is very slow-burning and, if you take care of it, does not overheat nor bite your tongue. I find it to be a very relaxing tobacco, which can take more than an hour (at least) to burn out, even in a small pipe.
I have then dedicated a pipe to this wonderful blend : a Churchwarden, which suits it perfectly.

Tin note of maple sugar, spices and vanilla. Tobacco is a course cut of light brown, brown, dark brown and black. Moisture content is great. Burns moderate with few relights. The strength is mild to medium and nic is mild. Flavoring is mild to medium, with notes of Fruit, Maple, Rum and Vanilla. The maple and rum disappear in the first 1/4. Vanilla and fruit move to the background, fruit holds out the longest. Taste is medium and moderately consistent, with notes of sweet maple, vanilla spiced rum, fruit bread/cake, brown sugar, acidic, wood, grassy hay, zesty bitterness, orange peel, dry, spicy, mildly savory, a background note that sometimes is a lemony citrus and sometimes coffee like, and a peppery retro. Virginias are leading with Cavendish and Flavoring supporting. Room note is pleasant, and aftertaste is good.

A coarsely ground sweet one, the tin note hollers out candy store! When you open it, it smokes cold and fruity, gives some hints of vanilla and peaches

Why: Red Virginia black cavendish mix that goes all in with the best selection mixed fruit, rums and vanillas.
Looks: It looks like the finest ribbons from the finest cuts. The red virginia stands out and small chunks of black cavendish between.
Using?: You put your nose into the tin and keep it there. You will be smelling it more than smoking it. When you do use it, you use it carefully and really respect filling the pipe, looking at it before firing it up.
Result: Even during the first false expansion light you will be waiting to pack it down for the true light because the taste is truly fine and the smell a combination of everything you like.
Conclusion: For the pipe smoker who loves to spend time preparing and filling a tobacco that feels and tastes like a fruity aromatic wonder. Mild and refreshing.

A pleasant smoke. Somewhat mild in taste and the room note is very nice. The taste of maple and caramelized sugar comes through nicely with subtle hints of rum. The tin note is very fruity, like smelling a fresh fruit cake. The majority of the tobacco is ribbon cut, however you will also find a good amount of flake mixed in. A great aromatic tobacco.
