Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) Mayflower No.1
(3.00)
A high contrast mixture canary yellow Virginia and pale brown burley tobaccos determines the mild taste.
Notes: Originally made by Theodorus Neimeyer. Black cavendish is and has long been one of the varietals, though it wasn't mentioned in the tin description.

The nutty, earthy, woody, burley is the lead component. A fair amount of black cavendish (which mysteriously isn’t mentioned in the tin description) provides some smoothing sugar in a secondary role. Though there’s more of it present than the grassy, citrusy, yellow Virginia, the latter is a little more obvious to the taste. The chocolate topping lacks depth, with the nut topping taking a very small lead. They tone down the tobaccos to mild extent, and one or both have a distracting chemical note. The strength is mild, while the taste is a step past that level. The nic-hit is very mild. Won’t bite or get harsh, but it’s not quite smooth either. Burns fairly cool at a moderate pace with a mostly consistent flavor. Leave little dampness in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. The after taste is spoiled by the chemical hit. An all day smoke.
