In the tin: Smokey, mouldy and roasted coffee/dark chocolate. Also picked up some cinnamon spicyness.

Taste: Smokey, creamy and buttery. The dark chocolate on the nose was evident in the smoke as you progress through the bowl. A nice English (not Balkan IMHO) blend.

I tried a few bowls rubbed out and folded flakes. The bowls where the flakes were folded, presented more pronounced tastes however, I preferred the rubbed out form.

smooth, creamy, cool nirvana. 30% latakia is about the right amount for my palate (recently had a tin of JFG's special latakia flake and found it harsh and overwhelming). one of the best.

This is the second tobacco I did buy many tins to stock up. Since so many reviews about it, I feel I have nothing to add. Only one trick to gents who wants to truely try this. Pls DO let the tobacco dry for a long period, I mean at least one month in the tin or jar. After drying, it tastes up to a holy new level vs just out of the tin. I can swear that's a huge difference. After finishing one bowl, I feel energetic, "full blooded". I was ex- heavy smoker and almost no feeling to nicotine bomb. But this one is truly amazing✌️.

Big fan of English type blend, this tobacco, is a really good one; the smoke is cool and rich, the flavor is bold but not in a bad way, I love it !!!

Fresh smoke is the best definition for this flake. Very brown and dark thin flakes, which tend to dry up quickly once the tin is open. Ready to be rubbed and smoked right after opening. Sweet virginia, very gentle latakia. Not too strong, almost a medium. But perfect in my opinion. Sweet and fresh.

As often with the brand, the tobacco has too much moisture in the tin. I put it in a pouch, let it dry for two weeks and that was perfect, otherwise I was keeping relighting it.

A good English mixture for the experienced smoker as the strength is rather fool. Good blend. I agree with previous reviewers about the 'Balkan' origin of the tobaccos, hoping the present situation in the Middle East will not make difficult finding the tobaccos put in the blend.

Beautiful dark flake, not pressed too densely, produces prodigious opaque grey smoke, a perfect match for my meditative and Wabi, S. Arita sitter. Compelling like the scent of peat fire or an Islay scotch. Perfect for when you want the smoke to do your thinking for you. Wonderful in every way, you will want to dedicate a pipe as it will be utterly, indelibly owned by this burnt offering.

This is a very nice flake. The virginia is present but the latakia is at the forefront without being overwhelming. The underlying sweetness from the virginia really balances this out. I like to cube cut it for best results. This seems to provide a very refreshing and smooth smoke compared to some of the other flakes on the market.
