My savinelli rustic was chosen to try Sunset Breeze. The shape and size I liked of the . It fit well in my hand. One thing I noted about this pipe was the way they made the bowl bottom flat it stands up with out a stand witch I really like. So opened the Sunset Breeze. Wow! the Amaretto aroma of this was wonderful So i packed my savinelli and lit the bowl. The taste was wonderful. Nice a nutty sweet flavor with a hint of Amaretto, cool smoke and no bite at all. I was able to smoke it without the bowl getting hot at all, warn to the touch but thats all. It drew nice and easy and the smoke was cool and full. I really enjoyed trying this blend. The Aroma was nice and light and was most pleaseing and stayed in the the room awhile. without being over powering. If you have Not tried this blend. it a most try in my veiw. My wife loved the room note, POINTS! May your pipe always smoke smooth Jimmy

I'm fairly new to the pipe, and have been smoking quite a few aromatics, but I've found that their flavors are often overwhelming and they often have quite a bit of bite. Neither one is an issue with Sunset Breeze.

Right out of the tin, the aroma is quite strong, but once lit, there is a pleasing bouquet of background flavor that never overwhelms the fantastic burley and virginia flavors.

Lights easy, smokes cool, tastes fantastic. The room note is also very nice. I think I just found my new standby aromatic. If you're an aromatic smoker looking to work your way to virginias, this is a must. Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed.

I have been overall pleased with the quality, flavor and room note of Peterson blends and Sunset Breeze is no exception. In fact this might be my favorite Peterson aromatic I've tried thus far. This smoke is top notch. The tin is a bit moist like most Peterson tobacco tins, but after about 3o minutes of drying it was perfect. I also scored big and found this tin at a local tobacco shop that rarely sells tins, and this one had been sitting for exactly 2 years on the shelf! Just enough time to mellow out. The tin aroma is great with a non overpowering amaretto smell with a vanilla/carmel finish.

Sunset Breeze burns nice and slow and the room note is wonderful, my wife even commented that she enjoys the smell of this one. The burley gives this smoke a very well rounded and mellow taste. It also smokes extremely cool (again I attribute this to time left to dry out a bit) and leaves my pipes surprisingly dry. I highly recommend this Burley, Black cavendish, Virginia mix. Happy Smoking.

mmm... I just love this stuff. My favourite of the Peterson aromatics. You really get the Amaretto from the tin through the bowl and it is a very civilised after dinner smoke. It remains a mystery to me how Peterson can get this so right and get something like the Sweet Killarney so wrong.

This is my first review. I have only been smoking a pipe for a little over a year, but since I had never found an aromatic that didn't bite the heck out of my tounge or leave my bowl a goopy mess, aromatics were not to be in my rotation.

So I quickly developed a penchant for English blends and vapers.

I tried Sunset Breeze on a whim after reading the reviews. I was already odering 6 tins of Old Dublin to cellar, and I had them throw in a tin of Sunset Breeze.

Upon opening the tin, I did not really pick up Amaretto, but it was very pleasant. I picked up dried apricots and the natural smells of he Virginias and Cavendish. It was a little on the moist side, so a 10 minute rest was in order.

It lit easily, but still required 2 more lights throughout the bowl. The room note was wonderful - no wife chaser here. It burned to a nice white/grey ash all the way to the bottom. Sunset Breeze burned clean in the bowl and not one time have I ever experienced any tounge bite no matter how hard I puffed.

I never had a blend I called "my aromatic" but this is it. I have 6 tins on order to cellar. This is just a very nice blend.

Set some out on a napkin for 2 hours, and it was a 3 match smoke. The tin aroma is the best part of this product. No bite, and no gurgle. The room note will always get compliments.

Another one of my favorites, this one has a bright fruity taste which, ironically, makes it a good morning tobacco. The flavor and scent are both somewhat fruity, but not a dark fruit like Connoisseur's Choice, something lighter, like berries. An all-around pleasing aromatic that doesn't burn too hot if smoked properly and leaves behind nothing but ash in the bowl.

A fine aromatic offering all that one would want in an aromatic. I tried it in a Stanwell "Anderson", took it at an even pace and found no negatives. My tin was not too wet at all and a plug thumbed into place as well as any blend. When you tire of the hype of the non-aromatics then try Sunset Breeze...for it is perfectly named.

2010-01 Putting 1 more star. The bitter in throat was because my pipe was not absolutely clean after previous tobacco. Now I like this blend very mutch. Its my currently prefered aromatic.

2009-12 First of all I dont like too mutch flawored tobaccos. After the first puff I sensed a smell of vanilla only, and that disapointed me a little bit, I was afraid it will become overwhelming, but later I sensed another aromats and that changed my mind. The vanilla was still there, but the tobacco taste emerged and dissapeared after each few puffs. The third arromat begins to emerge and little by little dominate over the vanilla and tobacco. I was trying to get what aromat it is, but couldn't recall it. But then an idea commes to my mind - this is wine! The smell is the same as in the moment when you open a bottle of wine. A little bit sour and with nuanses of a mould. After the smoking I began to sense the wine taste in my mouth too!

This is very interesting experience. The aromats associated with some colors in my mind: light yellow - vanilla; black/brown - tobacco; red - wine. The collors was playing in my mind drawing interesting pictures and actualy the picture on the tin was quite simmilar to it 😉

Negative sides of this tobacco is that it burns very difficult; I had to relight it with 4 or 6 times. And a little bitter in the throat due of suspected unnatural ingredients in the tobacco.

Still it is very interesting and unusual blend! I will try it next time too 🙂
