Dan Tobacco Bill Bailey's Birthday Blend

(2.67)
Bill Bailey’s Birthday Blend uses top notch Virginia and fine black cavendish and is finished with a top note of Blue Curaçao, which is a liqueur featuring an intriguing bittersweet orange flavor. This is a truly unique experience.

The Virginia was good and the added orange flavoring in the Black Cavendish even worked for me. And, if you like your orange juice with no pulp there was plenty of it in Bailey's Birthday Blend.

I thought this blend was quite good. It had a really nice room note, and the flavors came through rather nicely. The smell was that of a heavy aromatic, with a good mild tobacco aroma under it. This is worth trying if you want something a little different.

Dan Tobacco - Bill Bailey's Birthday Blend.

I started smoking this today before reading the constituents. Good job, because had I have read it contained orange liqueur I would have given it a biased result; I'm not a fan of orange in tobacco.

Virginia accounts for more of the blend than black Cavendish. The ribbons are quite coarsely cut and the aroma is one of sharp, bitter, orange liqueur. The moisture's good, being ready to smoke imminently; well, that's my tin!

B.B.B.B. ignites without a hitch, generating quite a unique smoke. The tobaccos aren't what makes it inimitable, they form a simple, Virginia heavy, VaCav flavour. It's the Blue Curacao which gives it a unique character. Slightly sour, sharp, very zesty, alcoholic, oranges. The liqueur has a scintilla of sweetness, but this is surpassed by the fervent, alcoholic, orange, side. On the low side it can burn a little quick; not 'fast', but a bowl requires a more tentative technique for a longer smoke. I don't get any bite.

Nicotine: just above mild. Room-note: quite nice.

Bill Bailey's Birthday Blend? I couldn't smoke it regularly, but for the individuality of the flavour I feel happy with three stars:
